Budge stuck her hands in her pocket as she walked down the streets. the sky was gray and the taste of the air was sharp. budge wasn't worried about the wether however. she was worried about the people chasing her. four tall people, most likly men, dressed in black had been following her for about four to five blocks. She wouldn't start running- not yet. If they were social workers-probably not- she'd been able to get away before. If it was a bunch of really creepy guys wanting a fight, she had one for them. but her first option would always be to run.

Annie sat on outside in her porch.

((where should we have the setting be?))
Budge took a glance over her shoulder, not liking what she saw. When did the 5 guy come in? She groaned inwardly. When to run, when to run...?

Budge began to lose it when she saw a sixth member had joined. she crossed the street in the middle of traffic and took off as fast as she could. she knocked into several people which slowed her down only a litte. she kept up with the speed, taing random turns. They were still following her as she took a turn into a nieghbor hood. She sprinted up onto a porch and jumped over the railing, trying to make her enimies get confused. as she swung onto another porch she ran into someone.
"Ouch!" she stammered as she jumped back onto her feet.

watch out

Tony saw a girl slam into his nieghbor, Annie. "you okay annie?" he caled.

Budge swung around in surprise to see a tall man call out.
"Annie,huh?" Budge said before swinging around again to see one of the men chasing her.
"It's been a pleasue. gotta run!"then she took off and instead of jumping from the railing, she juimped down the stairs and began to take her random turns again.

Tony walked over. "You sure" he askee.

Budge found refuge in an alleyway, half a mile away from the porch where she had run into that girl. there was a fire excape ladder next to her as she leaned over and gasped for breath.

"Did you know her?" Tony asked.

"no not really."Annie said.

Tony nodded.

Budge heard loud voices.
"Where'd that punk go?"
Oh....so they were looking for her...she probably owed them money.
"We dunno. She's a quick devil." One man complained. "And we've looked everywhere."
Budge remained as quiet as possibly before suddenly:
"Ah-AHCOO!" with that followed a slilent curse.
"You check down the alley way, doofus?"

Maddie was walking the streets listening to whatever music was playing on her used and old ipod. It was turned on low so she was able to hear voices. Maddie turned the corner and saw a girl cornered, "Hey whats going on here?" She hissed.

three of the men swung around and Budge took her chances.
"run kid, run!" she shrieked, before jumping up to catch one of the last rungs of the fire escape ladder. she quickly pulled herself up and balanced on teh rickety escape before running to the other end and scaling down the other side. she pulled at the girls arm.
"Didn't you hear me?! Run!"

Maddie couldnt comprehend the word run, until the girl was dragging her, "How the heck did you get yourself in that mess?" She asked running after her.

"Well, you know. When you still this or that, you manage to make a couple people pretty angry, especially when you leave a calling card. Take a right." she ordered veering rightherself.

Maddie turned, "Wow. . . wait steal?"

"Its a hard knock life." Budge said with a shrug.

"What kind of life do you run? Wheres your family?" Maddie winced, as much as she hated her family, and the word 'family' was enough for her to hurt.

"I run my own life. As to family? ha! what family? you mean the drunken father that dumped me off at the doorstep of an orphanage when I was 6? thats not family. Take a left." Budge ordered again as she took the sharp turn.

"You went to the orphanage? Thats where I-I uh live. . ." Maddie turned, "I think we lost them, where are you taking me?"

"I'm not taking you anywhere. I'm taking you as far away from the bad guys as possible. But I've been running all day I'm tired. Orphan huh? You plannin' on running away any time soon?" Budge asked as she slowed her pace.

Maddie nodded, "As soon as I got my chance, which would of been tonight. The people in charge were going to leave fot a few hours, I was going to leave then."

"Your far enough away from the orphanage. Why don't you just run now?" budge asked suspicioously.
