I want to discuss White's future unveilings and how it will affect Alyssa's feelings for Jeb. Do you think knowing she eventually has a child with Morpheus, even if it is long after Jeb is in the "happy skate park in the sky", will tear at her to the point where she will want to end things with Jeb because she feels like a traitor? I am hoping White's little orb trick ends up being the false product of another one of those Wonderland "IOU's". If the future "picture show" ends up being a ruse, I think Al will finally kick Moth Man to the curb.

I hope that Al and Morpheus are together!! I do kind of agree with you that the vision will get to her even if she saves Jeb and Morpheus. And then her deal with Morpheus the 24 hours! I mean Jeb will go mad!

I do see how it would be difficult to truly get serious with him if she knows she'll be with the other later.

I don't know. I suppose they will have to work together, most likely.

Yes, I agree, and maybe this will make them care enough about each other that one will concede to the other where Alyssa is concerned. Maybe this will make Morpheus give up his "24 hours" and let Al make up her own mind about whom she wants without brainwashing.

I am on pins and needles waiting to find out about Alyssa's father's history in AnyElsewhere and Wonderland. And I really didn't see that one coming after reading Splintered.

I know! And she seems a lot stronger now that we know she can defend herself with awesome Netherling magic.

Didn't you all love that "story within a story", in the first part of the book, when Alyssa and Morph were children? I didn't want it to end. I need another book of stories just from that part of their lives together.

It did occur to me though that while she vowed to give him a day and a night, she didn't say which one...

Also, I was under the impression that the union between Alyssa and Morpheus was most likely in the distant future, so I am saying no to the child being a product from the promised 24 hours meeting. Plus, Alyssa saying she wanted to live in the country with Jeb has no bearing on the decision she could make if the guilt of thinking she is with Moth Man in the future gets to her.

Did White even say for sure the child was Morph's? I will have to go and grab the book. Maybe he is Jeb's and they are only there visiting good ol' Uncle Mothy. Maybe Morpheus gave him blue hair like you would give a child a temporary tattoo for fun and games. I have to go back and read the prophecy again.

And how about that scene in the gym pre-prom. A.G. should be writing paranormal romance, too!!

You might be able to use blue eyeshadow. The powder kind, not the creamy. Or maybe even blue sidewalk chalk?

I did costuming and stage make-up for a children's theater group for almost eight years and another option would be to make an eyebrow template and use the spray on hair color. You could also use hair stiffening gel, (like they use for mohawks) or egg whites, with blue glitter mixed in to paint on your eyebrows.

I hear they make paisley print contacts now!

I love the fact that there was "glimpses" of a happy future for the sexy moth and the skater!!! I think that's a splendid compromise but please please please be moth baby that would but horrible crushing twist if it wasn't.
but I still wish she go away with morph the day after they defeat red and she stay he is so swoon worthy and perfectly imperfect. I do however give Jeb credit he is stepping aside and letting her work things out with out interfering as much makes me like him a smidge more than I did; but she's a better netherling that's where she belongs with morph at her side. but that's my opinion. how long till the next book I am having withdraws already!!!!

I finished Unhinged today, and now I don't know how I managed to live before reading the book. WHAT IS REALITY?!! I mean, seriously I was SOOO in to Unhinged that the book world feels more real than my miserable mortal life :'(
I really need a time machine now so I can have Ensnared and meet the sexisest moth man in the world and of course, the gorgeous kick-ass Queen :'D

Try each one from easiest to most difficult, and when you hit one that works, stop and you are good to go. Just don't ever shave your eyebrows because I have seen them grow in all screwy.

I wonder how in hell she's going to convince her dad to go to AnyElsewhere so she can get Morpheus and Jeb and kill Red. also she has to save her mother from sister 2. how in hell is she gonna do all that? then after that she has to spend 24hrs with Morpheus in wonderland and we don't get to know any of this till January 2015.

Actually, I'd have no problem stripping Morpheus anyway, but that's beside the point.

Agree. In another series I read there was a prophesy mentioned and it did come true eventually. Because what's the point if it won't? It would be cruel.

I have to say, I was spoiled about the fact of Ivory's prophesy from the reviews, but I didn't know what it was about, just that it was supposed to be good ))) And when I did actually read it, I cried happy tears. I... I just have no words. It was so beautiful. It was perfection. It was everything. It gave me hope. And Alyssa was happy in that vision. It is where she belongs.

It just irks me it took her to see that prophesy to finally start realizing how precious Morpheus is. Shouldn't have taken her so long to figure it out :)

However, I don't think the book ever said that the child was Alyssa's and Morpheus', together. It could be just Alyssa's, or only Morph's, or someone elses. I still have to go back and read that part again.

Are Alyssa and Morph the only netherlings to have ever shared a chilhood? I still think there is a twist in there somewhere. Plus, the "prophecy" could be one of those infamous Wonderland IOUs and not be entirely real, or truthful. The truth seems to get stretched a lot in Wonderland.

Come on, a child with Alyssa's eyes and blue hair, born to two netherlings who shared a childhood! How many coincidences could there be? Alyssa is queen and Morpheus is king.

I'm sure there are plenty of twists in the book. It just doesn't have to be the prophesy.

Anyway, my logic and common sense and hope say it must be true, but my lack of trust in final books in a series, already broken 3 times this year says "trust no one". Alyssa still can mess everything up (:

That all depends on what the reader considers "messed up", though. ;)

It took me a couple R18 comics to stop questioning messed-up things.

Now, I'm entirely sane, and give me a moment to pour the contents of this teacup in my ear.

Since this is a thread where we don't have to hide spoilers, I wanted to discuss Alyssa's mosaics. I'm going to repost what A.G. said in another thread:

Grenadine is only a queen because Alyssa appointed her as her temporary stand-in. Officially, since G doesn't have the Red bloodline/lineage, she can't access or use the crown magic which makes her more like a steward until Alyssa resumes her place on the throne (or, per the rules Rabid stated in Unhinged, loses it to another blood relative in a battle of magic and wit... whichever were to happen first.

We know that there are 3 Red queens fighting for the ruby crown in one of Alyssa's mosaics, and Alyssa assumed they are her, Red and Grenadine. But since Grenadine is from another lineage and won't be able to access the crown magic anyway, why would she even fight? Now, we don't know much about her, but to me she seemed like someone who wouldn't even want to fight. If she doesn't have a chance to tap into the crown magic, why would she risk her life?

What do you guys think, is there a chance that there is another heir to the ruby crown? Someone we don't know about yet? Seems unlikely, but I was just wondering...

And by the way, how was Grenadine able to rule all those years, if she can't access the crown magic? Before Alyssa came to Wonderland in Splintered, I mean.

And another thing I'm curious about: does a King possess any sort of crown magic? Or is the king's crown just a piece of jewelry?
