could the travelers trapped on elong escape? if yes how? will they be able to help or are they not suppose to?

Leela (leelarose) | 5 comments I sure hope so. I think it must be possible. You kind of get a sense that somewhere along the line there is going to have to be a huge confrontation with Saint Dane (ha ha thanks Justin). A sort of "its not over 'till the fat lady sings" vibe.

message 3: by Paula (new)

Paula | 4 comments I certainly hope that the travelers trapped on eelong are able to escape. Mainly because Spader is my favorite traveler and a bit of me fell apart when he got trapped. I think it's likely that they will since D. J. MacHale has made a point of keeping them somewhat involved in the story. (I mean he could have just been like they are trapped, the end.)

here's for hoping

Geoffrey: its eelong
Leela: its SAINT Dane
Paula: you are right, but that wouldnt be any fun.

all of you forgot something: every territory has TWO flumes. one on eelong was destroyed, and two on Veelox/Ibara

message 5: by Paula (new)

Paula | 4 comments so if every territory has two flumes, why havn't spader and gunny attempted to find the second? their rings could help them out. or maybe that's how they will get out by wonderously stumbling upon the second flume

message 6: by Leela (new)

Leela (leelarose) | 5 comments Paula: Maybe they have and its just not being narrated in the story.

alright
i emailed dj mchale asking that question and he said

"Veelox does have two flumes. The second is in Rubic City. (Or the first,
depending on your perspective) But that flume was buried under a toppled
building. Bobby and Siry discovered that when they were in Rubic City
because they tried to use it to get back to Ibara. Remember?"

"But not all the territories have two flumes. That's not a given. Eelong
only has one. So do First and Third Earths."

and i really did i didn't make this up.

just in case this is his email: djmac@thependragonadventure.com

message 8: by Paula (new)

Paula | 4 comments well dang there goes my theory. well i still think there is hope. maybe they can rebuild it or will it to work again haha

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

I liked it better when I thought there were two flumes!!

Geoffrey☼ (erkins1) | 120 comments Mod
maybe they will find another way out, like through the traveler ring
or make something similar to a flume

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

could they build a new flume? e-mail D.J Machale!

message 12: by Geoffrey☼ (new)

Geoffrey☼ (erkins1) | 120 comments Mod
no because when mark and courtny made a flume it was allready in place, only waiting to be activated by a traveler ring

message 13: by Geoffrey☼ (new)

Geoffrey☼ (erkins1) | 120 comments Mod
but ill email him anyway

all right i emailed him this:

Me and a group on a website called Goodreads(http://www.goodreads.com/), were talking on a group called pendragon lovers. and we had a question about the travelers trapped on eelong(iM writing this by what they said).

I liked it better when I thought there were two flumes!!

Geoffrey☼ (erkins1) | 120 comments Mod

heres what he said

Hi Geoffrey,

The answers will come in the next two books!

D.J.

message 18: by Paula (new)

Paula | 4 comments Oh D.J and his never giving a straight forward answer. I e-mailed him a few years ago with a question about Loor, and he responded in riddle form.
But at least he responds to e-mails, i love that

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

what was the question?

message 20: by Allie (new)

Allie (pearlrose95) i hope they will be able to!!!!

message 21: by Geoffrey☼ (new)

Geoffrey☼ (erkins1) | 120 comments Mod

message 22: by Allie (new)

Allie (pearlrose95) true. but there HAS to b a way. DJ CAN'T b that mean

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

next 2 books... I thought Raven Rise was the end... that website says it is!

message 24: by Geoffrey☼ (new)

Geoffrey☼ (erkins1) | 120 comments Mod
no there has to be all 10 books
it says that at the end of the 8th book

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

it does? oh... yay!

message 26: by Snow (new)

Snow (kdskid007) hey, do you guys think they could send themselves through their rings? i mean, if they can send journals, why not people too? just a silly thought goin through my head at 2:30 in the morning, but worth a shot! and bobby is truly trapped on Ibara, unless my ring theory works out? man, that STINKS!

message 27: by Geoffrey☼ (new)

Geoffrey☼ (erkins1) | 120 comments Mod
i thought that too, but the rings dont open enough for them to fit, and also i dont htink that the rings could hold the compasity of a traveler traveling through it(the travelers are much more complex than the letters are)

message 28: by Snow (new)

Snow (kdskid007) true... hmm... how to get them off eelong... *goes into deep thinking trance*

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

I like that idea... too bad...

message 30: by Geoffrey☼ (new)

Geoffrey☼ (erkins1) | 120 comments Mod
gotta think harder
oooooo
at the end of pilgriams of rayne st dane was in one of the big black triangles. do you think that one of thoes could act as a flume for them?

message 31: by Geoffrey☼ (new)

Geoffrey☼ (erkins1) | 120 comments Mod
or something like that

message 32: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 10, 2008 03:38PM) (new)

1. he was on the lifelight pyramid, not in it.

2. yeah, that is an... interesting... theory... maybe it's true!

message 33: by Geoffrey☼ (new)

Geoffrey☼ (erkins1) | 120 comments Mod
thats what i was thinking of, but he could go into it and use the equipement

message 34: by [deleted user] (new)

ya i think there stuck there for a while but eventually they have to find another flume

message 35: by Geoffrey☼ (new)

Geoffrey☼ (erkins1) | 120 comments Mod
ya

message 36: by Snow (new)

Snow (kdskid007) well, there's the flume under all the rubble, ya know, from the veelox time? i highly doubt st dane is just sitting on ibara, twiddling his thumbs. specially from what i've read of the book so far... evrything's changing, and not for good! *zips lips shut, locks, and throws away key* message me if u want spoilers... but i may not get tham to u for a while...

message 37: by Perry (new)

Perry | 5 comments saint dane unearths the flume on veelox...

message 38: by Snow (new)

Snow (kdskid007) shhhhh!!!!!!! NO SPOILERS for the ppl who hvnt read it!!!!!! lol, im gonna make a spoilers topic so those who hv read it can TALK! *runs to make spoilers topic*

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

the lifelight pyramid is not a flume, but the one in Rubic city... read the book!

message 40: by [deleted user] (new)

gosh ppl noo spoilers!!!!1im only on the 7th book!!!!

message 41: by Geoffrey☼ (new)

Geoffrey☼ (erkins1) | 120 comments Mod
wow read faster, in this group we expect you to be up to date with the books with the exception of the newest book

message 42: by [deleted user] (new)

well my friend stole the 7th form me so i cant finish =| it was really freaky 2... i got over halfway though

message 43: by [deleted user] (new)

I expect at least half of the group members to have read Raven Rise.

message 44: by Rikloud (new)

Rikloud | 13 comments I have not read Raven Rise yet but I plan to
I think that a new Flume will appear on Eelong
Bobby has to get out of Ibara eventually or it would be the end of everything

message 45: by [deleted user] (new)

well, there is no new flume on eelong...(oops, spoiler, oh well, haha)

message 46: by Geoffrey☼ (new)

Geoffrey☼ (erkins1) | 120 comments Mod
well not at least in the 9th book

message 47: by [deleted user] (new)

well, ya... true. sooooo true. but they don't need a new flume since they're on, um... wherever they are now, with bobby and everyone.
at least, I don't think they do...

message 48: by Rikloud (new)

Rikloud | 13 comments That was really close to a spoiler

message 49: by Geoffrey☼ (new)

Geoffrey☼ (erkins1) | 120 comments Mod
