Lila had gotten the courage to come to school today. She actually walked in this time. Even those she did come in late, at least she came in, right? She walked into her History class, sitting near the back and keeping away from the other kid's, it would take her a while to get use to being in class but eventually, she knew, she'd become friends with everyone and she wouldn't have to sit in the back. But for now... She was just the new girl that no one knew.
Jared entered the class room, rolling back his broad shoulders and flashing his well known charming grin. If Lila wasn't here, he was planning on just occupying himself with some other girl. But as his eyes searched the back of the classroom, he found her, right where he had the feeling she would be. He swaggered over to her, flipping some longer fragments of hair out of his face. "Hey." He greeted her, his voice deep and husky. Most girls would kill to have him talk to them like that, and it boosted his self confidence.
Lila was, unintentionally, listening to some girl's talk about homecoming and was distracted but when she heard someone say 'hey' her heart raced. People we're talking to her already. But when she met Jared's eye she grinned. "Hey." She replied. She was actually surprised to see him, she didn't know why. She obviously knew Jared went here. She ran a hand through her hair, sitting up straighter feeling the need to do so when he was around, to appear more attractive or confident, possibly.
An idea he hadn't planned popped into Jared's mind, and if he was a girl, he would have squealed with excitement. "How would you like to come to homecoming with me?" He quirked his left eyebrow up, sitting down at the desk next to Lila's and propping his feet up. Jared was confident in his question, he wasn't one to be turned down or rejected. Never. Lance was the beam of light at home and Jared was the party animal at school, nothing more. In past years he had brought multiple girls to homecoming, he was a player after all.
Lila was shocked by his question but tried her best to cover it up. She rested her head in her hand's and looked at him. He seemed very confident that she was going to say yes. She bit her bottom lip, of course she wanted to go with him. She'd love to go with him. Homecoming was the perfect night for anyone to hook up and considering Jared had only kissed her and then left her... She was mostly hoping he was willing to go further, just this night. "Hmmm..." She mused, pretending to think. "I guess." She muttered as if it were no big deal, leaning back in her chair.
Jared assumed she was only kidding with him, and messing with his head, because there was no way she didn't want to go with him. "If we were in the same grade, we could've ran for homecoming court." He sent a charming wink her way, leaning further back in his chair. All eyes were on the two, and Jared didn't mind as long as it didn't bother Lila. She was new so of course they were all wondering what she was doing with Jared, the party animal of the century. Her being with him would only boost her popularity, by a lot. Lila could probably even make friends with someone like Lily, they would get along beautifully. He would have to set the two up sometime.
Lila ran a hand through her hair. She new if they ran for court they wouldn't win only because no one knew who she was. But she smiled at the thought. She had almost forgotten that Jared was a senior and she was a junior. She felt the class watching them and tried not to let it bother her and kept facing Jared instead. "Well, you don't have to go with me." Lila said. "You could probably go with any girl that's in your grade if you wanted to run for court." She told him. She secretly hoped he actually wanted to go with her and not someone else in his own grade.
Jared snorted, taking his feet back down from the desk. "Honestly, I think homecoming court is for rich snob losers." He rolled his eyes and straightened up. "I want to go with you Lila." Jared whispered softly, his voice low. An idea came to his mind, and a smirk slipped back onto his face. "Have you made any friends yet other than me? Not that I'm a bad friend to have." Raising his eyebrows, he rested his hand on her arm and ignored everyone else. "I know a few people you'd get along well with. Very well in fact." Grinning, his face deepened into a frown when the teacher began calling attendance. "Just stick with me." He whispered fiercely.
Lila smirked. "And your not one of the right snob's?" She teased. "I couldn't tell." She joked. When he touched her arm she couldn't lie that she felt some tingly feeling in her stomach and all over her body. She didn't know what it was, the se feeling she got when they kissed. She tired not to look to happy about his words and frowned when he brought up friends. No, she had not made anymore. "Mmkay." She smiled at him.
To be honest, Jared wasn't rich. Not anywhere even relatively close. But he didn't let his feelings show, juts like he usually didn't. Turning his attention to the teacher, class passed by with little to no problems. All the teacher had done was talk the whole time, while Jared dozed off and stared out the window. History was not his thing, and he was not his brother when it came to school. Nowhere close. Once class was over, he stood up abruptly, ignoring the annoyed looks he earned from several of the other students. "Want to head to the homecoming game with me?" He raised an eyebrow, looking down at Lila and collecting his things.
Lila rested her rad on her desk, to busy thinking about tonight and Jared to pay any attention to whatever the teacher was babbling about. She at one time took her notebook out to write but didn't get very far. When class was finally over after what seemed like forever she got to her feet, stuffing things into her bag when Jared asked about the game. Oh the joy of football. She smiled and nodded though she new she wouldn't pay any attention to the boy running around on the field. "Sure!" She chirped happily.
Jared grinned, holding his things in hid muscular arms. "As you probably remember, I don't play. So I'll just be chilling with you on the sidelines, or we could head behind the bleachers." Waggling his eyebrows, Jared made his way to the door. "So meet me at the game tonight?" He tilted his head to the side, incredulous. "I'm more of a soccer jock, remember?" Raising an eyebrow for what must have been the thousandth time, he waited for her answer. Then he would prep himself for seeing her at the game tonight.
Lila smirked and nodded begin the bleachers or the sidelines. She through her bag over her shoulder and walked towards the door. "Sure thing." She told him. "See ya there. Bye Jared." She smiled and pushed her way into the halls to make her way he so she could get ready. Now what did she wear? What did he wear to the game and the dance! Since he ha asked her at the very last minute she didn't have a dress. She was going to look horrible this homecoming.
