Enso 108 (enso108) I was wondering how many of our members use the Insight Timer app. On Insight timer connect you can create sitting groups so I was thinking of starting a mindful readers group if there was some interest then we could read together and sit together.

Aindrea (the_book_monger) I am not sure how that works on insight, and I'm not sure it I will be able to participate too much since I am in Alaska, but I'm game. :)

message 10: by Enso (new)

Enso 108 (enso108) There are guided meditations but I don't think there's any with background music.

Enso 108 (enso108) Just to remind members old and new that we do have a sitting group on the Insight Timer app available on iOS and Android devices.
This gives us the opportunity to sit together regardless of distance and time zones. I hope to see you there.

BrodyAquino | 1 comments I heard about Insight Timer app, generally created for meditation practice, but haven’t used it yet. It empowers sound of Tibetan singing bowls to have peaceful and productive space. Meditation is an effective way to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. It’s clear that you can gather the benefits of meditation with mobile apps. Some scientific studies proved the effectiveness of a good meditation app like Calm https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/calm-... which eliminates stress, depression etc., and show effective mood improvement in just few days. It is one of the good apps for entire meditation types and relaxation. I think you should try it soon!

Lynne | 1 comments There are lots of guided meditations, some with background music, or you can just use the timer. Great way to motivate daily meditation.

Dean Paradiso (deanp) | 2 comments I've been using the app for a few years, but only discovered the joys of the Guided Meditation area. There's such a variety of meditations.. really helpful. A few famous authors on there too, such as ET, JKZ, Joseph Goldstein, Sharon Salzburg, Mooji (talks), and lots of others.

Justin (heyitisjustin) | 1 comments Does anyone know of a good meditation gamification app? I like headspace as it keeps track of how often I meditate. However, it's price is pretty crazy
