I don't know why this comes into my head so often, but it seems to me that Will and Jem are much closer parabatais and seem to be the definition of parabatai. In the case of Jace and Alec, however, the two do not seem to be as close and involved in their relationship. I always forget that Jace and Alec are parabatais, while with Jem and Will it is always obvious. What do you think?

Its true I just finished the city of fallen angels and in it they mentioned they were parabatais and I just blanked on it because they don't act on it at all

They aren't as near as close as Will and Jem. The only time Jace seems to remember that Alec is his other half (besides Clary) is when he gets badly injured by the demon in, I think it is City of Bones. I agree: I don't remember Jace and Alec are parabatai until is explicitly stated in one of the books.
