Like a Bullet from a Gun
The words shoot out of their lips like a bullet from a gun
Aimed at me
Targeting me
Something I can never outrun.
The bullet hits me
Right in the heart
Destroying my confidence
Tearing it apart.
I know I can't take this much longer
I'll be falling to pieces
And I'll be weaker, definitely not stronger.
They don't understand
How it hurts
The pain
How I try not to cry
And all of the happiness I feign.
As if everything is okay
Like the words didn't hurt
Like I'm
"Having a good day"
The laughter
The teasing
The snickers
The bleeding.
The bleeding I cause
With the blade of my scissor
Why do I do this?
I guess the words were a trigger.
I wish they would stop
Just LEAVE ME ALONE
Go back to ignoring me
But I'm their victim, who would have known?
Their words linger in the back of my mind
Everywhere I go
They stay there, never behind.
The words always haunt me, I can't shake them off
They always laugh at me, mock me, acting as a little scoff.

Really good, but I haven't read The Lightning Thief series, so...yeah. But it's still really good...even after I realized that I wouldn't be able to understand it, I kept reading and couldn't keep my eyes off! so good job!
btw what's Quotev? Is it, like, another website for writing?

@musiclover- on Quotev, what does it mean by 'reads'? on my story? 'cause there's hearts...and then there's readers...but then there's reads. And it says the stats and there are more reads in some places, less in others...and I don't get it.Sorry that I keep bothering you about Quotev XD
Reads mean how many times people have read your story. Let's say I read a story once..then i read it again. That would be 2 reads. Etc. get it?XD

I need help O_O I'm going to enter this writing contest. It can be about anything, and the word limit is 800 words. But I have no idea what I'm going to write about. Anyone have any ideas?
