At age three. After my grandmother read The Three Little Pigs to me over and over one day, I 'read' it back to her. I was actually reading on my own not long after. ^_^

I did too, but I never really read books until I reached 1st grade
When my dad was teaching me, I had to read books everyday for practice. My parents wanted me to do well in school.

Mine did too, but they were busy a lot with my little sister. She was very sick during that time. So I learned by myself

Loved ever since I could read to myself, hate hate hate reading out loud
I read the Magic Tree House as a kid and I loved it. I read Harry Potter in second grade. So while I loved books my whole life, I didn't really get into it until about 4th grade.
Since I was younger. My parents thought it was a good thing to get me started early. I LOVE reading. I have 63 Books since August 2010.
May of 2013. I read a book called Steal Like An Artist by Austin Kleon and then I picked up City Of Bones. After that book I was hooked.
In third grade after reading the Twilight series, i ended up loving fantasy and i am almost finished with my all time favorite series The Mortal Instruments.
I started reading when I was twelve. My favorite books were Magic Tree House, Little House On the Prairie, and Nancy Drew.
The first book I remember reading by myself (although I was told Mom brought books to the hospital), was "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein. We read, as a family, every day. We went through things like Jurassic Park and The Hunt for Red October when I became 10-13-years-old. I used to spend every day after high school at the library (although I spent more time on the computer than reading). I have always had a relationship with my library. It has to be good or the community is not worth living in. I dread the day we lose paper books.
In kindergarten, but all through Middle school, and most of high school spark notes was my best friend. It wasn't until this year that I actually started to enjoy reading. I just got hooked one series after another. :)
I started reading when I was 5 or 6....they were usually big books with short stories and colorful pictures....I read my first novel when I was 8 (famous five).
