The Clans discussion

This is the center of ShadowClan's camp where cats can just hang out. The fresh-kill pile is located here as well.

Joyclaw followed Darkpaw excitedly out of the warriors den. "Come on Darkpaw, I know some great places to catch mice in the forest!"

Darkshadow looked up as lostmist and sandpelt carried Jaystar into the camp. "You found him?" He said,sounding relived. "Quickly, take him to the medicine cat den!"

Darkpaw bounded after Joyclaw, glad that somebody was willing to train her.
As Darkpaw and Joyclaw were walking, Darkpaw's sister, Heatpaw, bounded beside Darkpaw, "Ooh, where are we going?" She followed Darkpaw everywhere as if they were attached at the tail. Sometimes Darkpaw could tolerate it, but now it was beginning to annoy her.

Joyclaw noticed that Darkpaw was a little irritated by this meeting of siblings so she answered the question for her, "We're heading out to the forest, I know some really good spots to catch mice. Would you like to come with?"

"Of course!" Heatpaw squealed with delight, "I love hunting!" Darkpaw rolled her eyes and heaved a sigh.

"Lostmist rushed over to them panting "Where is Rainleaf?" she yowled unusually. "I need a medicine cat! It's Jaystar!"

Jaystar mumbled to himself in a hoarse voice. "Windclan... disappear... battle... spiders... "

"Jaystar! If you can speak up." begged Lostmist.

"Windclan... spiders.... darkforest..."

"Windclan, spiders, and a dark forest? It doesn't matter! We need a medicine cat!" said Lostmist. He was getting weaker. At least an apprentice could help.

"Beware of the SPIDERS!" Jaystar shrieked, half asleep

With that, Jaystar got up and began limping out of camp.

Sandpelt dragged him into the medicine cat den, "Somebody help!"

"Any cat! Help us! Our leader is in need!" cried Lostmist.

"What's all the fuss? You're frightening Demonkit!" yowled Mudleaf walking to Sandpelt. Demonkit gasped. "Oh my. We need to heal him. Rainleaf is gone on a journey to the Moonpool. Alright. I think to heal him we need cobwebs. And burdock root. And poppy seeds for the shock. Hurry!" cried Mudleaf.

"What's going on?" Demonkit asked curiously.

"Demonkit, I need you to help me. Stay calm and help the other cats grab supplies. Jaystar is hurt badly. But if I can remember what my sister told me, I can help him." said Mudleaf remembering all the things her dead sister told her, hoping Littlepaw was with her.

"No... No..." Jaystar kept saying "Find... fifth... camp... Find.... It...."

"Save you're strength Jaystar. Demonkit, try to remember what he said for me. Alright. Burdock root, cobwebs, leak leafs, and poppy seeds. Hopefully, he will be fine." said Mudleaf.

"Danger... Flames... Windclan... gone..."

"No-No! Jaystar! Open your eyes!" said Lostmist. Mudleaf wrapped her tail around Demonkit. "Please, Jaystar, wake up." Lostmist whispered her words chilling.

"Starclan... fall... find the.. fifth.. camp..."

Mudleaf licked him. "He's not moving." she said.

"Riverclan... Thunderclan... Windclan... Next... us..." He barely said

Jaystar suddenly jolted awake. "the fifth camp." He said "I know where it is"

Joyclaw ran into the camp looking worried, "Heatpaw, Darkpaw, they've been captured by rouges!! I tried to stop them, but there were so many, I didn't know what to do..." She looked to Jaystar for guidance.

"I know where they went" Jaystar said

Lostmist bolted up. "If there are apprentices in danger, you can cont me in!" she shouted.

"Are you guys really buying this?" Darkshadow asked. "He's dying, he's crazy!

"I would trust Joyclaw any day, dying, crazy, or other wise!" Sandpelt exclaimed. "You on the other hand, I would never follow."

Lostmist walked over to Darkshadow. "Yes I do Darkshadow. And if you're not going to help, you can stay here you mousebrained fool!" she stated loudly.

"This way" Jaystar said proudly

The cats ran off which left Mudleaf and Darkshadow. "Well Darkshadow, that Lostmist is quite something" she said awkwardly as Darkshadow glared at the brambles. "Um Darkshadow, are you alright?" she asked frightened pulling Demonkit to her side.

Mudleaf peeked out of the nursery with Demonkit. "Where did Darkshadow go?" she asked. "Oh well, time for grooming Demonkit!"

Demonkit glanced around worriedly, "What's going on? Is something wrong?"

"Nothing dear, Darkshadow probably went to help them fight the rouges. Don't worry." Mudleaf pured.

Mudleaf watched as the battle scarred warriors returned with Demonkit at her side. "What happened to Darkshadow? Is he dead." she gasped. "He's a traitor who tried to kill Jaystar. Is he dead? We can't be sure, but keep a close eye on that kit. One was stolen from Riverclan." said Lostmist bluntly. Mudleaf pulled her kit closer.

Jaystar stood in the middle of the clearing. "Today has been a great victory" He said to the clan. "The clans united today for a great battle. So we celebrate. But this isn't over. I sense something lurking in the shadows. So be ready. This isn't over" then he turned and walked back to his den.

Mudleaf looked to her kit. "Demonkit, since Darkshadow was our deputy and now he's gone Jaystar will have to pick a new deputy before Moonhigh. One day, maybe you'll be deputy!" she purred.

Lostmist wearily limped toward the warrior's den. She sat down and began to groom herself. "Who will the new deputy be?" she thought. "And where is Darkshadow?"

"Darkshadow was a traitor" Jaystar said with disgust.

Mudleaf walked up to him. "It was a shock to everyone. But there's no sense moping about, besides, you have a big responsibility, and it's almost moonhigh."

Lostmist padded up to Sandpelt. That battle was hard. All those rouges in one place. I'm suprized no one died." she said. Sandpelt seemed puzzled. She usually talked in a whisper.

Joyclaw limped back into camp badly hurt carrying another kit on her back. The rest of Shadowclan remembered her traitores act, and hesitated to help her.

"Who's the kit?" asked Mudleaf concerned.

"I don't know... I just found him in the Rouge Camp and ran him back here. I had to dodge a few rouges though and they almost got the kit." This was one of the few times that Joyclaw looked sad.

Mudleaf padded up with Demonkit at her side. "Come, Joyclaw, this kit looks hurt." she said licking the scrap of fur that rested on Joyclaw's back.

"Attention!" Jaystar addressed his clan, coming out of his den "a new deputy has been chosen"

The cats gathered in anticipation.
