((Thank you!!!))Rose sat on her bed, reading an old book that was falling apart in her hands. She held it with such tender care, as though it was a dying loved one. Rose heard her door creak, and realized that somebody was actually coming to see her.
Ash knocked nervously. Keith said a lot of the girls didn't even want to breed, so maybe he wouldn't have to.
Rose raised an eyebrow, and tentatively said, "Come in," She bit her lip, hoping that it wasn't one of the horrible, breed-crazed boys.
He gathered up his courage and walked in, biting his lip. "H-hi."
Rose relaxed a bit; he was nervous. She stood up, eyeing the guy. Rose walked over to her bookshelf, and placed her book gently onto it. "I'm Rose," she said, though he may have already know.
He relaxed a bit. "Ash," he mumbled. He looked around, his eyes settling on the books.
Rose glanced at him, wondering why he was looking at the books. She did have mind powers, but she normally tried let people's thoughts stay to themselves. Rose walked over and sat on her bed again.
Not thinking, Ash went over and began going through her books. "Wow. You have great taste in books," he told her. He thought, trying to remember if he'd made a page of great books on his website for nerds.
Rose glanced at him, wondering why he was looking at the books. She did have mind powers, but she normally tried let people's thoughts stay to themselves. Rose walked over and sat on her bed again.
He turned away from them, blushing. "Erm, I hope you don't mind that I... uh, don't really want to... um, you know..." he mumbled. He wondered if she knew anything about videos...
"Oh! Good!" Rose said, relieved. A slight smile broke out on her face, and she looked at him, suddenly curious. "Videos? What kind of videos?" Rose blurted a bit, then realized her mistake. She covered her mouth, and mumbled almost incoherently, "Sorry..."
He was obviously surprised. "Do you read minds?" he asked, his first sentence without mumbling or stuttering.
"Yes..." Rose said, unsure of how Ash would take it. She bit her lip, nervous. He didn't mumble or stutter when he asked that, raising her curiosity some.
"Cool. Do you think it's something to do with your DNA? Or do you think it's something out of the ordinary in your brain?" Ash asked, instantly intrigued. Maybe he'd add a page on it...
"Hmm... Maybe both. I think in some people, their mind reading abilities are weaker, or even stronger..." Rose said. "A page?" she inquired.
"I have a website. If I find anything interesting, I make a page on the topic. So, can you block people? How far away can you read from? Is it true that some readers get head aches from it?" he asked rapidly.
"I can block people. I, personally, can read from about as far as I can make out a person's face. Yes, we do get headaches. Or annoyed, or grossed out..." Rose shook her head, letting out a little laugh at all of Ash's inquires.
Ash nodded, taking mental notes. "SO what do you do around here?" he asked.
A faint smiled left Rose's face, turning into the echo of a frown. "I normally just read, which is nice. They don't really give me a lot of books, but at least they give me some... What about you? What do you do?" Rose asked, the last bit being a bit of an underhand way of finding out if his intentions in here were as they appeared to her.
"Um... stay away from this place, talk to my friends, ride my motorcycle, make videos, and do generally nerdy things," Ash said.
A grin crept it's way onto Rose's face. He actually was genuinely nice. She let out a laugh, saying, "I hate this place to! They normally don't let me leave though..." Rose shook her head, and twirled a piece of her dark brown hair.
He frowned. "I might be able to get you out early..." he whispered, looking down. He knew he'd probably get her out and never see her again once she knew he was in a gang, even if he didn't do much.
He looked down, having forgotten she was listening to is thoughts. "There a guys who... blur the line between here and the regular world. My friends and I go after them," Ash mumbled, hoping she wouldn't immediately kick him out.
Ash coughed softly. "Um, they, uh... er, rape girls outside the facility," he mumbled.
"And you're part of this gang!" she growled incredulously. Rose stared him down with a hard, angry glare.
((Gotta go))
He put his hands up in surrender. "We go after these guys and take care of them. I have never slept with a girl and don't plan on doing that for a while. Keith, Adam, and Brendon are the only ones who have slept with girls they aren't dating," he explained quickly.
He put his hands up in surrender. "We go after these guys and take care of them. I have never slept with a girl and don't plan on doing that for a while. Keith, Adam, and Brendon are the only ones who have slept with girls they aren't dating," he explained quickly.
((Okay))"Oh," Rose said, with sudden relief. She had never slept with somebody either. Rose's facial features relaxed, and she smiled at him again. "Good," she said, adding quietly, "I've never actually slept with anyone either..."
Ash smile, relieved. "So you aren't going to kill me?"
He chuckled. "I don't hit girls, though, so you'd have the upper hand."
Rose smiled, saying with a laugh, "Good!" She twisted a strand of her hair, not quite sure what to say, or for that matter, talk about.
He shook his head. "Sorry. Nothing,"
"You can sit down, you know." Rose said, motioning to next to her on her bed, the only thing that you could sit down on, besides the floor.
Ash frowned and sat on the floor.
"So all you do is read here?" he checked.
"Pretty much," Rose said. She rolled her pretty blue eyes, and sighed. "Sometimes I'll explore, but I know the place now..." she added.
Ash looked her over, just realizing how pretty she was.
He blushed a bit, realizing she probably knew what he was thinking. "Um, er... so... do you have any... friends... here?" he asked.
Rose let out a nervous laugh, then shook her head, saying, "No..." She shrugged saying, "People usually just try to avoid me, or breed with me." Rose shivered at her last statement, though she never actually let them. She pulled her knees up to her chin, almost afriad of the thought.
Ash immediately went to her and hugged her. "Can I be your friend?" he asked.
Rose shivered again as Ash hugged her-she wasn't used to people touching her. She nodded as she wrapped her arms around her legs, hugging them, and then resting her head on her knees.
"Just don't cry," he whispered, releasing her.
