I just thought that it would kinda be fun to use things like boogybats and make up spells. I just thought we could use the things like they used in the books, and like make up spells.... all those creepy things (frog legs, brains, bats, bugs and such.If I wanted to make a potion, all I would have to do is go find a spell, like for a love spell!
In the craft, one of the witches made a binding spell, does anyone know how to do that?
Hate to burst your bubble, Edith. But the Harry Potter books are fiction. Therefore no one here can create spells. Don't I wish, though?
Duh don't u think I know the books were fiction! Can't u all just use your imagination? Or are we now a country, where no one has their imagination no more.
JK Rowlings said that her books were for her daughter, they were from her imagination, the storys used to amuse her daughter on the long train rides. Now that is one heck on an imgination.
Angie would like a house cleaning spell!
I personally would like a work spell. Something that would make me look like I'm at work. But really not. And so I can still bring in money.
P.S.
A binding spell is that you wrap something from the person such as a hair ribbon around a stick, and you repeat: I bind you from doing evil.... over and over again till the item you are wrapping around the stick is gone. Then you bury it. But this is just something from someones imagination, that was in a movie.
IMGINATION
is a terrible thing
to waste.
Edith, I don't think you explained yourself very well. It's not that I don't have imagination, but it doesn't seem that you were asking about imaginary spells. If you read your original post, it appears that you are asking us how to recreate the spells from the book. The simple answer to that is that the spells from the book were made by magic and therefore can not be recreated. If you want to read an article about the spells being recreated, check out this article about a college professor teaching just that. (Very proud to say that it's at my alma mater, Frostburg State University!)

I think that it's fine to try out some spells from the books, and if you're going to do it, so might as well do it right.
p.s. thanks for the article.

I teach high school Spanish and we read Harry Potter y la piedra filosofal ( philosopher's stone ) in Spanish 5. I also use the information from the book that the professor teaches about , The Science of Harry Potter( plus several others)although we concentrate more on vocabulary, grammar. myths, etc.in fact I just bought a levitron top from ebay to explain flying and levitating!
