Be a part of the LAHS Band, Concert Band, Marching Band, or Orchestra!

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments Ash's next stop was the band room, just trying to get away from everyone, why was it such a big deal he wore his hood? Why was it so bad he didn't want people seeing him? Why was it so bad he'd rather have his past in his past and keep it like that?!

Ash wanted to scream his head off, just tell everyone to go away, But he was to nice for that. He wished he was like Drayven in that way, just telling them to F O. He sat down on one of the chairs, reaching over and grabbing one of the guitars. He was sure it was going to make noise, well, that was what it was made for. The only thing he didn't want to happen is someone knowing a class wasn't in session and just barge right in and start picking at him.

He started a song, the same one that he had been whispering in the Auditorium, Teenagers. He started whispering the song again and again.

Emma Sage walked into the band room, her first day at the school proving to be livable if not overly enjoyable. She hadn't brought her own violin or guitar that day, not wanting either of them to get damaged, but realized that may not be a problem upon seeing the amount of instruments in the room. "Oh, hello." She said, noticing the other boy for the first time. She looked at some of the guitars, picking one up and running her fingers across the strings to test that it was in key.

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments Ash looked up from his own guitar he was holding, bringing up a hand to wave to her back. "Hey." He said, his voice quiet, as usual. He looked back down at his, listening to her strumming. He smiled a bit, someone else who knew how to play an instrument. He didn't say anything really to her, just kept playing his song on the guitar, not really loud, trying to keep it low so he didn't totally destroy her sound.

Emma "Do you just play guitar, or anything else?" She asked after a few minutes, satisfied with the instrument's quality. The other boy, whom Sage did not know the name of, was actually pretty good at playing. It was good to meet someone who actually appreciated music and didn't think that they were all weird. She tapped her fingers lightly on the instrument, smiling as the song she had been playing ran through her head.

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments Ash shrugged slightly, "I play the drums a bit, and could probably pick up bass rather quickly." He said glancing up at her quickly. "I- I do more singing, along with my guitar than anything." He stammered out, knowing the next question she might ask. Though, he didn't know for sure, just normally people always ask that afterwards. Judging how well you actually are at your chosen ability.

Emma She nodded. "That's cool, I sing as well, and I play piano and violin along with the guitar." Sage told him, the information flowing out easily. She didn't want to brag, but the instruments she played were a fact, and one that had come of hard work, so she had no reason to not talk about her skills. "I'm Sage, by the way, what's your name?" She asked him, wanting to be polite.

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments Ash nodded, pursing his lips, "Yeah, I don't get much time to practice, or well, I didn't used to. Now I do, so I'm hoping to start up the bass." He smiled a bit, "And I'm Ash." He said. He leaned back in the chair he was sitting on. He smiled a bit, looking out the window. Finally, someone who didn't ask to many personal questions.

message 9: by Emma (new)

Emma Sage smiled. "It's nice to meet someone else who appreciates music, Ash." she said, repeating the name so that she would remember it. "So, how long have you been here for? Today was my first day, any chance you would be able to tell me how long it will take to not get lost?" She tried to keep the conversation away from personal things, from his quiet demeanour it seemed he didn't like to talk about himself.

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments He pursed his lips, "About six months andc since the Beginning of the school year. And it doesn't take long, few weeks maybe. I don't get lost easy." He smiled softly, but only with his pale pink lips, not with his teeth which were actually quite nice.

Emma "Looks like I'll be wandering around cluelessly for a while then, my sense of direction is no better on a regular basis then if I had been blindfolded and spinning for twenty minutes straight." Sage said only half joking, it was a fairly accurate assessment. She tapped her fingers on the edge of the guitar, a simple rhythm from one of her favourite songs. She was actually working on the piano for that particular piece, and the vocal part as well.

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments He nodded, looking down and listening to her play, his hands going along his strings as well, as if playing out his song, just not strumming the contraption. "Well, good luck then." He laughed, "It's a big school and very easy to get lost in." He smirked, "Pretty nice though. I mean, I like it." He said. "Much better than what I'm used to." He chuckled. His smile was only his lips, never showing his teeth when he did this. He didn't like to, and he was never happy enough to do that. Only when he was singing, never for just a person....

Emma "I dunno, I work at starbucks and I met the lovely Kegan and his girlfriend Lily? Don't seem so nice to me. I was straight up told that music was lame and no one he knew was going anywhere with it. Let's see...I got hot coffee spilled all over the front of my shirt and I'm still burned- but that one was probably an accident. But teacher wise it seems fine, I suppose. I just don't know about the students." She said, frowning a bit.

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments Ash shrugged, "Well, welcome to high school." He said pursing his lips, "But let me tell you for a fact, this place." He moved his hand around in the air, "Is a hell of a lot better than Detroit." He pursed his lips, hoping like hell she didn't hear the news story. But then again, he didn't think they got his face, just so he could go on with a normal life. But he didn't know for sure. They might have caught a glance of him.

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments Ash looked at the clock, pursing his lips and standing up, putting the guitar to the side. "Hey, I'm sorry but I gotta get going. I'll be late for one of my classes." He said as he started to walk out. "Good luck with everything." He wove to her and exited the room and started toward the arts.

Dani strolled into the band room after her first day in the foreign exchange student program at LAHS. Everything in the United States seemed so different from London. Well...almost everything. As she looked around the band room her eyes landed on a familiar sight and she grinned from ear to ear. A grand piano. Rushing over she traced her fingers along the keys lightly, glancing around to make sure she was alone. Setting down her things and taking a seat, she started to play. Her delicate fingers danced at a wicked speed as she played one of her favorite pieces. She closed her eyes, feeling herself getting lost in the beautiful sound.
