message 1: by Kaylyn (new)

Kaylyn (kerskins) I personally love to read with music because it helps set up the background music that is playing to the movie going on in my head!

message 2: by Jessica (new)

Jessica So do i, like when there's fighting scenes I think of some rock songs that could totally go with that moment.

message 3: by Kaylyn (new)

Kaylyn (kerskins) Me too! People are like how can you read with music playing and I am just thinking it is just like watching a movie with background music playing! It's the exact same thing!

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

Really I loose attention when I do that but I can relate stories to songs sometimes

message 5: by Kaylyn (new)

Kaylyn (kerskins) Oh. That happens to me sometimes because I will have more in my mind and so I just sing along to the music and then I can't read.

message 6: by Jessica (new)

Jessica That does happen some times I'll be reading but then a song I like comes on and I pay more attention to the music.

Stephanie (stephanie_nichole) | 130 comments I love to read with music but it really depends on my mood.

message 8: by Kaylyn (new)

Kaylyn (kerskins) Yeah! I usually read with music when I just really need to block everything out for a whole or I'm in one of the mood stages.

message 9: by Jessica (new)

Jessica I tend to always read with music, I feel better like that. It brings my mood up.

message 10: by Kaylyn (new)

Kaylyn (kerskins) Yes! Listening to music and just reading are enough to kme my day come out of a bad mood if I am having a bad day!

message 11: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (hannahsmanyhobbies) I can't read with music, it distracts me

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes me too!

message 13: by Tia (new)

Tia | 10 comments Without Music. If I read with music the music had to be really low. But if it's too loud I start dancing and well my book ends up on my bed while I dance

message 14: by Kayla (new)

Kayla Same! It completely distracts me because I will start singing and lose focus on the book. Unless the music is extremely soft and relaxing!

message 15: by Arbaaz (new)

Arbaaz Khan (arbaazkhan1999) | 61 comments I would really love to do this but it keeps my attention from the words actually so i can't :-(

message 16: by Renee (new)

Renee I can only really read without or I get too distracted, although sometimes I do listen to non-lyrical pieces to help with the mood if I feel like it.

message 17: by Kristina (new)

Kristina (kristinagrace) Without. It's way too distracting!

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

I agree. Unless it's a book so good nothing can distract me

message 19: by Marijke (new)

Marijke (storyquill) | 48 comments Without, because I will sing along to the songs and then I can't really concentrate on the book...

If I read with music I usually get so deep into the book I forget I have music on at all.

message 23: by Karina (new)

Karina | 255 comments I don't usually read with music because because them I can't concentrate on the book.

message 24: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Benson Sometimes I love to, and other times I think it's too weird

message 25: by Tameera (new)

Tameera Corum (voodooprincess_) | 1 comments Without, I cannot concentrate on anything while listening to music. Especially reading!

message 26: by Meghan (new)

Meghan | 85 comments I love reading and listening to music at the same time because when I have earbuds in it blocks out all of the distractions, so I get more reading done. Also, to me music just makes everything better.

Especially when your music matches the mood of the part you're on. It's awesome!

message 28: by Emma Belle (new)

Emma Belle (EmmsterBelle) It is. I love reading and listening to music but the music has to be not very loud for me.

message 29: by Lissy (new)

Lissy Tolhoek | 1 comments I love reading and listening to music, but that could simply be because as an anime fan, I am used to reading the subtitles whilst also listening to the voices and sounds of the animation. It really depends on what you prefer. Some people can be easily distracted and therefore, would rather not listen to music when reading, but I believe it adds to the effect and tension of what you are reading, depending on the type of music you are listening to. For example, I wouldn't go and listen to some boppy pop song when reading 'Lord of the Rings'.
