This portion covers the whole of Book VIII: Mitya, starting from Book VIII. Chapter 1. Kuzma Samsonov till the end of Chapter 8. Delirum.

Delirium - Aptly defines this part for me. It was chaotic and I wanted to shake Mitya to come out of his agitated foolishness. So, it was an experience which affected me both mentally as well as physically and it probably says a lot about Dostoyevsky's writing talent. And mentioning once again about female characters, Grushenka's character sketch is definitely better of the lot. Another point regarding our narrator, which was there in previous book too, that he is narrating certain parts from his memory and certain parts by reading manuscripts/documents which was probably left by brothers themselves:

All of this was found out later in the most detailed and documented form, but here we shall outline only the most necessary facts from the history of those two terrible days of his life, which preceded the horrible catastrophe that broke so suddenly upon his fate.
