She looked around them and smiled. "Oh this is so cool." Ariadne lifted her glasses and looked at the roller coaster. "Lucky heights don't bother me."

((haha. Tell that to Four. I've finished Divergent by the way. ))"Yeah," Ethan said. In books, asking a girl out to the Amusement Park was an ancient maneuver to win a girl's heart, and probably more. He didn't care. He just wanted to ride the roller coaster. "So," he turned to her,"Shall we ride?"
((Sorry to leave you hanging. I've to go. ))
((Awesome XD))
She smiled and nodded. "Sure. Lets go." Grabbing his arm lightly, she ran over to the roller coaster happily.
((Bye lol))

"Well that was fun." Ethan grabbed the railing for support as they trod down the steps of the ride they had just finished.
He was a bit lightheaded, and he was sure he would be even before he had asked Ariadne to come with him.
He adjusted his shades, just in case he might accidentally roast or freeze any passer-by."So,next ride. You pick," he turned to Ariadne with an easy smile on his lips."Just make sure it doesn't involve going around in circles with rapid speed. I think I'm feeling dizzy," he added quickly.
((Gotta eat first. :D . Be right back. ))
She looked around her and shrugged. "I don't know what to pick. This is only my third time coming to an amusement park." A small blush of embarrassment creeped into her cheeks and she looked at him. "Usually I'm to busy for fun, you see, so I don't really come here." His easy smile kind of put her nervousness to rest and she returned it. "What would you recommend? This way I won't pick a ride that will go around in circles and make you feel dizzy."
((Alright :) .))
((Alright :) .))
Ethan tapped his cheek and looked around. The first thing he saw was the Tunnel of Love, which almost made him throw up. The next was the Ferris Wheel, but it was best ridden at night, and it was only 3pm. He snapped his fingers. "The Carousel!"
Then he felt his cheeks go slightly red.His eyes scanned the ground."Hey, I know it's actually a bit childish but..." He grinned."I really don't care."
Following his gaze around, as soon as she saw the Tunnel of Love it gave her the distinct feeling of distaste. The day I ride one of those I shall look into a mirror and inflict pain upon myself. His thoughts weren't far from hers as she saw his attention land briefly on the Ferris Wheel, but when he finally came up with an idea, she couldn't help but laugh. It wasn't mocking, more surprised. "The Carousel? Alright. Lead the way." Smiling at him, she made a hand gesture for him to start walking.
He did. And, finally, after about 10 minutes of standing in line, deciding to plan 100 ways to kill those who cut in line instead of vaporizing them in an instant, Ethan and Ariadne were on the ornately carved saddles on the Carousel's horses.
This was his favorite ride, because of the horses. Unlike most carousels, the horses on this one felt real. Their manes felt real, so did the surface of their skins. It seemed like they were real, only frozen.
He turned to Ariadne, whose horse was beside his. "I had a horse when I was 9,"he began, his tone nostalgic.
She followed him smiling slightly. It was rather near that he suggested the Carousel as their next ride.
Standing there in a reverie, pleasantly enjoying the sun on her skin as they stood in line, the cutters didn't bother her, mainly because she didn't notice them. If she did, she would so anything about it anyway. What's a few extra minutes of waiting for something she will get, next to an eternity of waiting for something that shall always be outside of her grasp?
Ariadne couldn't help but laughed softly as she got onto the horse next to his, the frozen being so lifelike in so many different ways. The mane was particularly eye catching and resembled the living creatures quite identically.
"What was the horses name?" Her tone was interested, because despite having years of knowing people, she was always into learning about others. Especially when it was a distraction from them asking about her. Deeper lying questions always hit a nerve with her, because she never talked about her past. Sympathy wasn't something she wanted, nor was envy at her timeless existence. All she wanted were friends who one day she might be able to talk to openly, and Ethan, so far, didn't seem so bad.

"Joey," he replied."I thought she was a boy, so I named her 'Joey'." He laughed, and it died immediately, replaced by a grim expression."Too bad she's gone..."
She felt bad for him, knowing how it felt to lose those things and people dear to you. "I'm sorry. I do like the name Joey though, even if it was a girl." Giving him a smile, she wondered how to brighten his expression again, though that wasn't exactly her strong suit.
Ethan noticed the look on her face and grinned. "Nah, just kidding. I left her with Ian,my brother when I came here. He treats her well."
((Bye))
She laughed softly. "Alright then. But does that mean your brother doesn't have any vis? Since he isn't here that is."
She laughed softly. "Alright then. But does that mean your brother doesn't have any vis? Since he isn't here that is."
Ethan shrugged. "No, he has his share of vis. Apparently, Arden's not the only academy for vised kids. There are others too, you know. Princeton, Radzin, etc."And he's more of the academic type. He's on Princeton. Horses are mandatory. So, yeah..."
He grinned.
"Oh really? That sounds interesting. I have heard of some others, and read of them as well. Though I prefer Arden. No pressure."
Laughing softy at his words, she looked at him. "Sounds a bit stuck up as well, no offense to anyone there who isn't."
Seeing his grin, she smiled. "What?"

Seeing his grin, she smiled. "What?"
"Why do you like to put that thick line on your eyes. What's that called, kohl?" He asked with a cross of candid and curious manner. "I don't mean that's a bad thing,"he added quickly."Just, you know, unique.."
Smiling a little, she looked at him. It was a question she wasn't actually asked often, but when it was asked it kind of amused her. "I don't put it on. That is literally what they look like. Well, what they look like now. I never used to look like this. It's weird, I know. I can hide it with make up, but it takes a while trying to make the makeup that covers it natural."
Ethan just shrugged,"Okay then." He clearly didn't know what to say. So he just smiled and enjoyed the ride he knew would be over soon, silently hoping the girl beside him would come up with another topic, because he had none. And he hated awkward silence.
"How long have you been at Arden?" She asked easily, the silence not lasting long as she resorted to a simple question. Silence wasn't hard for her to endure, but while she didn't have to put up with it, she wouldn't.
He thought for a moment before answering. "About two years." His face broke into a smile once more. "Hey, I didn't even notice that I've been here for that long. Time does fly."
"Two years? Nice. You must have a lot of friends then." She smiled at him a little sadly and looked ahead of her for a moment.
Laughing softly, she thought that statement was very wrong in her opinion, but he wouldn't be able to tell. Returning his smile, she nodded. "That it does."

(( Oh, now I am not confused :P ))
"Not really. I only have Clarence - he's easy to talk to. And... Aaron." His eyes looked distant as he said that name. "What about you?" He asked, diverting the limelight from himself. Getting attention has never been in his To-do list. And it will never be.
((haha. We exchanged laptops, you see. Mine's having problem with goodreads. It takes too long to load. I don't want to leave you hanging. So yeah, this happened. ))
Picking up on how he said Aaron, she figured there was something there. She wasn't sure what though. It could be a one sided crush, or maybe said guy was deathly ill and about to die. She didn't know, but knew it was something. "Well hey, you are doing better than me." Ariadne joked with a light tone, though did miss having friends. The last friends she had died 73 years ago.
"Me? I don't know how long I have been here. The school, I have been at since it started, but the area? Maybe ten, twenty years? I'm not to sure." She shrugged at him question.
((OH! Yeah, makes way more sense now lol It's okay, I wasn't really wondering, I was looking up my characters to see what I remembered about them xD))

(( haha .. :D )) He was momentarily baffled.Did he hear right? 20? 10? She doesn't look older than 15. "Wait, how old are you?"
"Depends. I was turned this way when I was maybe 16, or was it seventeen? I don't know. But I have lived for over a century. I was born in the 1800's." She gave him a small smile. "Time doesn't really fly for an immortal."
((Bye!! xD))
((Bye!! xD))
Ethan didn't know how to reply. Images flashed before his eyes. He was 20, leaving Arden, then 50, then finally he could picture his own funeral. He couldn't think of what it was like, watching your loved ones die while you know you could never join them in the next life. What it was like to have so many memories that you couldn't find the right one. Or what would it feel like not having to worry about when will Death come knocking at your door.
Despite of his raging thoughts, he returned the smile Ariadne offered him with another, replacing the distant pondering expression he wore before that.
Seeing his expression, she could think of what he was thinking. It was a little hard to comprehend. Giving him a happy smile, she shrugged again. "You have good days, like this one, and bad ones, where you really feel how far you have been stretched through time, like trying to spread butter on toast, but you don't have enough."
He shrugged,"If I have bad days, I'll try cliff-jumping. Or I'll strap myself in a plane's wing. Adrenaline rush may make me feel better, or might knock some senses into me." ((Sorry I took me 8 days to reply. ))
((That's okay, I haven't been on much anyway ^_^))
She laughed at hearing his words, a real laugh, as she found what he said very interesting. "You have strapped yourself to an airplane wing?"

"No," he admitted,"but I'd love to try. One day, maybe I'll try zip-lining from a hundred-floor building."
"That's kind of like flying." She smiled to herself at remembering something to do with flying. "Isn't there a way we can set up a zip line in the mountains?"
"Of course, but, we'll need much equipment." He said, listing in his mind the things they would need. Which was so many. "Lucky my sister is, she has Flying vis."
"Oh neat! The most I can do is bend the elements to help me, although that does help when it comes to actually setting up a zip line. We should totally do it!" She smiled brightly and seemed to act her physical age for once. "What do we need? I'm sure we can get it."
((That's okay :) I have been gone since that post anyway))
