Christina | 1 comments Hello! I'm looking for beta readers.

My book is 76k words, which makes it about 300 pages (using paper and font size typical of novels). According to my Kindle, the book takes about 4 hours to read.

The story follows a 22-year old woman who travels to a foreign country with a repressive government (modeled after North Korea). On her way to the country's capital, her trip is disrupted and she discovers things that were meant to be kept from her. When she finally arrives in the capital, she becomes swept up in unexpected events.

I wrote the book to have the fun tone of a YA novel, but the heroine is an adult with a career. The story is fantasy to the extent that it's set in another world, but there is no magic. There's some romance and sex is mentioned, but it's not explicit.

I've already received feedback from two readers and revised the book accordingly, so it is well beyond the first draft.

If you're interested, please send me a message or reply here with your email address and preferred format (e.g., .docx, .mobi, .pdf). I'd like to move forward with revisions as soon as possible, so it would be super awesome if I could find beta readers willing to read the book within a week or two. If that's too soon for you, that's okay! I'd still love your feedback.

I'm happy to return the favor by reading your book, and I'll try to be quick in returning my feedback as well.

Thanks for your time!

Michael Conlon | 2 comments I would be willing to read your ms, sounds interesting. I have a completed ms about 65k words. It's a quirky, coming of age novel set in the 1970s. thanks, Mike

Mati (matiraine) | 40 comments Hi Christina,

If you haven't got enough Beta readers already, I'd be interested in doing a reading swap with you. We are in the final stages of edits with my book Archipelago

Archipelago

It is a little longer than yours, but I'm mainly looking for extra eyes at this point to see if we missed anything. If interested, feel free to e-mail me at thecraftycoyote@gmail.com

Thanks for your consideration!
Mati
