ENG 580 Spring 2014 discussion

Godless by Pete Hauntman provided a very interesting view on religion and faith. The book is about a group of teens that decide to make up their own religion that worships a water tower because they do not feel a connection with Catholicism, which is their parent's religion of choice. The religious group eventually becomes a problem after members become too obsessed or are harmed while climbing on the tower. In the end the main character realizes that no matter what the religion, faith is an important part of life. This book was a honest and helpful look into the process teens face when confronting the issue of religion.
