Kidnapped discussion

Jae wakes up in a room. He immediately gets up and looks around, scared.

"No!" Jae screamed, falling to his knees. "Please," he begged, "make it stop!"

Jae shook with fear. "What do you want from me?" He asked, thinking he was the one who kidnapped him.

Jabez opened his eyes, feeling really stiff. He looked around at the others, silently.

"Who are all of you?" Jabez asked.

Jae turned to her. "I'm Jae," he told her quietly.

"Jabez" The 9 year old boy told them.

Jae stepped towards Truth. "I'm not going to hurt you," he promised, "just please, don't do whatever you did before."

"I'm not gunna hurt no one" Jabez assured Truth.

Jabez shook his head "Nah, I don't even remember going missing"

"I remember walking home from the grocery store," Jae said.

"Last thing I remember, some kids were beating me up" Jabez shrugged.

Jae looked up and tried to figure out where the voice was coming from.

Jabez sat against the wall, he had never had much hope. His parents made sure to crush that part of him. "This place is actually better then my home" He said with a humorless laugh.

"You're right..." Jae realized. "There's no way we're ever going to get out of here."

Why was everyone suddenly so hopeless? As soon as they said that, everyone's mood changed. It took a lot, but Jae changed the mood in the room so everyone felt hopeful.

Jabez looked at Jae "Thanks" He smiled.

Jae nodded. "Shhh." He warned quietly.

Jabez felt his hands light up with flames. "I don't want to do this" He said.

Jae couldn't do anything about it now. He made everyone depressed unwillingly.

Jae screamed and made everyone panic.

Jabez tossed a couple fireballs at them. "I'm sorry" He said afterwards, not wanting to hurt anyone. Hurting people was his only fear.

Jae screamed in pain and fear. It was horrible.

Jae made everyone terrified. He hated every moment of it as he watched his parents die over and over again in the visions she showed him.

Jabez lost control, fire exploding out of him.

((THIS IS SO CRAZY!))
Jae screamed in pain.

((I feel so horrible!))

Jabez sent more fireballs around the room.

((Ikr!))
Jae made them even more scared than before.

Jabez extinguished his flames "Did I burn either of you?" He asked.

(Ignore my last post) Jae made everyone calm even though he was terrified.

"Yeah." Jae nodded. "I'll be fine though." He slowly started to heal them. "I'm so sorry."

Jabez looked at Truth "Its okay"

((Himself* not them))

"How did they do that?" Jae asked.

Jabez shrugged "I'm not sure"

"That was absolutely horrible." Jae said.

"I hate using my powers" Jabez sighed.

"I never thought to use my powers for bad. I always used them for good." Jae said quietly.

"I never use mine, not even when my parents hurt me or when I was beat up at school" Jabez told them.

"I feel like a horrible person now." Jae said miserably.

Jae made them happy, but he was still depressed.

"Hopefully the voice doesn't come back." Jae said and immediately hoped he didn't jinx it.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have mentioned it." Jae said.

Jae put his head in his hands. He tried not to feel miserable, and failed.

"Have you ever tried using your power to show people good things?" Jae asked suddenly.

"Fire is evil, its just how it is" Jabez shrugged.

Jae simply nodded.

"But you're wrong you could use fire for good. To warm someone up, to cook something." Jae said.

Jabez shrugged "Its never done me any good"

"But it could. What if you tried to melt the walls? Then we could all be free!" Jae said hopefully.
