Hey gang!

Ok, here's the deal: I'm making a blog of sorts for my brother. He is not a writer or even much of a reader, for that matter. He is, in my super biased opinion, a wonderful artist. (One of his sketches will be the cover for one of my upcoming books.)

The blog is for his jewelry that he designs. He does sell it but that's not my purpose in posting here. I've come to trust the opinions of this group and I'd like some honest feedback on the blog I've done for him.

For example, if you see anything missing that I should include, or if the pics don't display right, or things look squished funny, etc, please don't hesitate to tell me. I appreciate any feedback you wonderful people can give. Thank you for taking the time to look and have a lovely day!! :o)

Gina (grcollia) Everything seems to be working for me... the pics all show up perfectly. I think that black is a good background colour for jewellery blogs... sets off the colours of the stones. One thing I saw on another jewellery blog was a colour patch for some of the items, like they do for interior design blogs:

I hope your brother sells loads of his jewellery :o)

Thersa That is nice. I agree with Gina about the black. I also like that there is a big picture of the overall piece and then close ups of say the clasps, etc. I was wondering if you could do it so that when you click on the picture you get a bigger, more detailed picture. It doesn't really matter but I'm one of those people who click on pictures to see a higher definition version. Otherwise, I think it looks really nice.

Thank you both very much for your input. Just for my information, what do you think of the jewelry designs themselves? Super honest opinion, if it's not too much trouble.

Yeah, I need to fix that. Some of them work, others I didn't realize weren't "clickable" until earlier today and I was just too tired to mess with them then.

I see what you mean and I like it too. I think I'll try something similar...

(Believe me, my brother hopes to sell a bunch too. LOL) :o)

Bernadette (bernadettesimpson) I think the blog looks great but Thersa's suggestion on the clickable pictures is good.

And I love the jewelery designs! Especially the betel nut necklace and the one with malachite squares and pearls.

I forgot to mention, the end of each post has vote buttons for anyone who either likes or loves the design. :o)

I love the malachite one, too, but I can't seem to convince my bro to let me steal it. LOL

I'll fix the pics "tomorrow" since it is nearly 2am now.

Gina (grcollia) I like the daisies. :o)

I'm a flowery kinda gal when it comes to jewellery. And socks.
