Vee hopped in her Neon and backed out of the driveway. She put it in drive and headed towards Nora's place.

Nora tapped her fingers on the kitchen table, with a pile of homework in front of her. She knew Vee was going to be here shortly, but she wanted to get as much done before she did.

Vee hated how remote Nora's place was though she had to admit the place was beautiful. About 15 minutes of driving Vee pulled into Nora's driveway and honked the horn.

Nora heard the honk of the horn and frantically pushed papers around the kitchen table for her phone. She lucky found it, and put it, in her bag and grabbed her jacket off the coat rack. "Coming!" she yelled to her. She slipped on her jacket and then told her mom where she was going. She then ran threw the front door, closing it behind her and getting to Vee's car. She sighed, opening the door and climbing in, closing the car door. "Sorry for being a bit late," she said, buckling in. "Homework" she said, giving her a reason for not being out on time.

Vee didn't wait for Nora to put her seatbelt on before backing out of the driveway.
"I figured. So, where to tonight?" Vee asked, as they sped down the highway towards the other side of town.
