As Miralee mentioned, we need a thread for general chatting, so feel free to post here so that we can all get to know one another!

Rachael (rachsramblings) | 42 comments I'll go ahead and post my story links here to introduce myself to those with whom I have not chatted already. I have very much enjoyed getting to know the women in this group!

There is also a link on the first page that tells more about our precious daughter. I am mostly home bound, a big book worm, and I homeschool my daughter. We live on a small farm with 40 chickens and two goats in a very small town in which both my hubby and daddy grew up. Feel free to ask any questions! :) Blessings to you all.

Miralee | 168 comments Thanks, Sarah! But it's really strange. I got this notice in my email, but I can't find the thread anywhere when I go to the Home page. Did we lose it?

I noticed that too; thanks for bringing that up, Miralee. I think I just needed to designate a folder for it. It should show up now. Let me know if it doesn't. :-)

message 5: by Miralee (new)

Miralee | 168 comments Yes, it's up now under Fellowship! Good job, Sarah, thank you! I made an announcement about it on the thread that's been the busiest.

Amen, Rachael! (Incidentally, that is my middle name, with the same spelling!) Life on a farm sounds idyllic, although I'm sure that it's a lot of hard work to maintain. I live in the country, but not on a farm. My friends tell me I should be a farmer's wife! LOL

Janice Sisemore | 10 comments Rachael , just read your about life and your daughter. So amazing how God worked everything out fid you.

I can't do much of the work, but when I'm well I do wash the eggs and help with milking. Gardening I love! Very therapeutic fir me when I'm able. I have severe startle response...get seizure type events with sudden loud sounds, that is why we live in the middle of nowhere. I love it.

My daddy wanted the extra "a"... It has caused a few problems w/ drivers license etc. I'm glad he made it "his" name! :)

Janice, it is nothing short of miraculous. God has truly blessed me!

What a coincidence! My middle names is spelled that way because my dad wrote it like that on the birth certificate. It was originally intended to be Rachel, but he "misspelled" it, and I'm glad he did! :-)

I love reading about farming, and I never want to live anywhere but in the country; I have to be close to nature and have lots of space to enjoy it in!

I grew up in the middle of Oklahoma City...lived there most of my life. My best friend in highschool, tho, lived in the country. I always loved to go to her place. Born in the city, but I'm a country girl through and through. Love being barefoot in the dirt! :)

message 12: by Carole (new)

Carole Jarvis Rachael, I read your story and am amazed! Your journey has been incredible, but your testimony even more so. That everything happens in God's timing is so hard for many people to accept, but it's just a way of life for you. I can't imagine how many people you have influenced for the Lord along the way! It is a joy to have you in this group, Rachael.

I have enjoyed meeting each one in this group, Carole. Thanks for the sweet words. Waiting for God isn't always easy, but it us certainly worth the wait! My life is much fuller and more rewarding than I ever could have imagined. Gods plan is always best...even if it doesn't seem so at the time. :)

I must say that you girls are such a blessing. You certainly know hosting to lift a person's spirit and strengthen their faith. I'm so happy to be a part of this group and to get to know each of you. Miss Miralee did good putting us together, huh?

I just noticed my typing error above. that was supposed to say "HOW to lift a person's spirit"... Auto correction can be a BIG pain. LOL

message 18: by Rachael (new)

Rachael (rachsramblings) | 42 comments Yes it can, Wanda...it isn't always helpful! :)

message 25: by Miralee (new)

Miralee | 168 comments Yes, but I can't remember the exact title...it had the word Shepherd in it...does that ring a bell? I need to look in my bookcase upstairs. Awesome book.

message 26: by Rachael (new)

I LOVE her The Sisters of Bethlehem Springs series. Strong women with a strong voice. Her latest, A Promise Kept was just fabulous and based on her own life too! I have been reading her books for years. She made the move to Christian fiction and I made the move soon after.

message 30: by Miralee (new)

Miralee | 168 comments I've only had time to read the first one in her Bethlehem Springs series and I really enjoyed it!
