Book-A-Holics, Not So Anonymous discussion

Almost done with this book and although the plot could have moved along a little faster, it has been a great book. Very reminiscent of The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa, which I loved.

I just downloaded mine from the library :)

I have to say I'm about 150 pages in and I'm really enjoying this story so far!

I have read the first chapter...It hasn't captured me yet...I was confused almost the entire chapter...So I am trying to read Game of Thrones..which I am in the prologue. *face palm* not sure if I will make it through them

I am so confused. So do people in this time frame (which I have no clue as to what year this is supposed to be taking place in) come back to life after they die?like everyone?

Not everyone, only people that have been infected with this KDH virus. I have no idea what time frame we are looking, just somewhere in the future

I have gotten a bit further....I am about 15% Once I got through some of it and understood it, I like it.

Mhm, I had the same reaction but once I started to understand the world a bit better, though admittedly there's still so much to figure out about it, I started to enjoy Wren and the situation they are in.

Yea...that plot line gets more complicated as we move along here. Not sure where we are going with that.

I will read more when I get home...right now, I am listening to Scarlet on my rides into work...I listened to about half this weekend though :) I am enjoying that series immensely...Need to find out when Winter is released so I can pace myself a bit more

He is adorable. I'm not sure how that's going to help not die, but none the less adorable.

I'm on chapter 14...I still feel like it is all over the place. Like it can really go any direction. I like it, but not emotionally involved with it..does that make sense?

I'm in the middle of 15, haven't read much since over the weekend, but I thought that getting to know Wren made it a little better. Having to show her scars to everyone and starting to fall in love with 22 is making it more emotional. Still hard to tell exactly what we are doing here but I'm hoping that comes into play soon.

I agree. I like that she is opening up. I like Twenty-Two. I just haven't connected to other characters, so I am hoping, after how Chapter 14 has gone that maybe it'll happen. HOWEVER...I really like Wren's character sketch. She is not a damsel in distress like most female characters these days. Or whiny.

Oh, the whole fact that she is kick ass and everybody is afraid of her is why I'm still reading it lol. Plus, I love a good rebellion, I want this story to go in that direction.

lol. The second book comes out in May. It apparently is only a duology.

That's different. I don't think I've ever seen a series with only 2 in it, trilogy yes but not two.

I have read two other duology. Both which made me sad it was only two...one is becoming a movie, I think this year or early next year

I finally finished this over the weekend since I was feeling better. I liked it, it wasn't the greatest thing I've read lately but still had a pretty solid concept and lots of action. I'd probably read the conclusion.

P.S. I did see your post about reading and I'm game if you can wait til next weekend to start! I gotta finish something else this week first!
