I like this book. The thing is, and I mentioned this in my quickie review, you know what to expect from John Green, it is what you get, and if you don't like it you probably won't like this book. He always seems to have a similar theme (teens, coming of age, dealing with tragedy), characters (nerds, jocks, cool kids, outcasts), and the scenarios are often highly unbelieveable (but possible).
That is what I was expecting, so I liked it. It was a quick and easy read that I found satisfying. I can honestly say that I liked the middle part the most. The beginning started out with a cool concept of revenge, but that lost its luster as the book moved on. The end was really not exactly what I expected and I didn't really care for the resolution, but that was okay.
I have some interesting thoughts on the characters - which I will cover in the characters category - but I can summarize it by saying that each character was a caracature and I did not necessarily believe all of the relationships.

Since i hadn't read any other books by this author i really had no expectations going in. I enjoyed the fact that i didn't have to overly thing anything and was really easy to get through. I was disappointed with the ending. But other than that it wasn't too bad.
I think that is what I do like the most about John Green is that you really don't have to think a lot. If you just read a book that took a lot out of you, you can pick one of these up and read it pretty quickly and feel refreshed. I feel like Matthew Quick novels are the same way, but I am thinking that I like Quick a little more than Green.
