I sit down and start doing my makeup and my hair. I design myself, I lay down while a girl does my belly button. It's fake. I watch as she desins my stomach with glitter tattoos, on the side of my stomach.

The place was set up, fabrics everywhere, tables of food and drinks, lights, music, all the girls were ready, including me. We started setting uo the gifts, and the wish tree. We were almost done. The guy dancers were ready too. For a while we all just sat around. They I should say. I sat in the back.

Everyone was starting to pile in. We were going to have to start soon. I had a solo at the end. This was going to be interesting.

(Eli) I walk in and smile at Em. "Hey there."

The music starts to blast.

The music surges, and I stand in lead position as the girls start dancing. I dance around. Following the pace, I hear Tom clapping and chanting. Encouragement. I smile and get into the music, letting it lead me.



(Eli) I sit next to Em and stare at Nora in awe.

(Eli) That outfit showed too much...but, she did look amazing.

(Nora) The sound waves bounced off the walls. We ended perfectly. I stand there panting in the finishing pose. My eyes widen when I see Jack, Em, and Eli. Oh fudge.

(Nora) You're too much. The next songs starts.

I dance at pace, the guy dancers step in and dance with us. Two on either side of me.

(Eli) I look at Em and smile at her and lean back putting an arm around her.

(Nora) The song finally finished and I got prepared for the next one.

(Nora) My hips shook fast. This was alot better than the rest.

(Nora) I smile and the song finishes. We all walk to the back. My solo was up in a bit but I had to go drink water and clean my sweat off. I dry up with a towel and drink a bottle of water. I set back out to the stage and stand there, I could feel everyones eyes on me. I was so going to kill Tom for this. The music starts and I start too.

(Eli) I laugh and nod. I pull Em close to me before she fell out of her chair.

(Nora) The song ended and I was on the ground. I stand up and nod at the crowd. "Welcome yourselves to the food." I say. I cooked so if something came out bad I was screwed.

(Eli) Em drags me along.

(Nora) I hug Tom. "I'm proud of you," he says and his eyes get teary. I sock him in the arm softly. "Come on man, dont get all mushy on me." I laugh.

(Nora) He smiles and laughs at me. "I'm going to go and eat before there's nothing else." he says. I laugh. "Save some for me," I yell as he jogged off. I pick up my water bottle and start to drink and wipe my sweat with a towel.

"Wow, thanks, you sure know how to flatter a girl," I say shaking my head and turning around, facing him.

I smile at him, "Thank you." I wink at him. I laugh my poor short Tom couldn't reach through the crowd. The good thing was I was almost 6 feet tall. I grab the crumpet for him and set it on his plate. I go back to Jack and set the flowers down and sit down with a sigh. They were going to start the music again for everyone dance.

(Nora) "Thank you," I say. I brush my hair off my shoulder and smile at them. Eli was staring at me with a disproving look. "Chill bro, it's a costume."

(eLI) I had my fingers laced with Em's.

(Nora) I raise an eyebrow, they were already something?

(Eli) I huff and nod, I smile when Em pecks me on the cheek.

(Nora) I sit there like a statue, what am i supposed to say? This is creepy? you two dating? I look up fast when I HEAR eLI'S mind about if he should confess that he looked into my book and he wanted to know why my songs were so sad. I stare at him angrily.

I nod and stand up. I was hungry.

(Eli) I take Em to the dance floor and start dancing with her.

(Nora) I finish eating and go back to Jack. I brought him a chocolate crumpet and gave it to him. This was my favorite song. Tom was telling me to get to the dance floor. The rest of the girls were dancing and having fun with the crowd.

(Eli) I laugh and wrap my arm around her and pull her close to me. I gently guide her through the music, helping her steps and showing her. Fuck everyone around us.

(Nore) I grab his arm and pull him with me. I was too hype, I brought it down a few notches, enough that it looked like I didn't care any more. That's what I needed. Father told me that emotions slow my capability and that it's a waste of time. That I have to focus on perfection, not bullshit. I got so caught up in thought I didn't realize that I had just froze and stood there like a dummy. Tom was looking at me from across the room. I scolded myself for doing this. This is not okay, if dad were here he would be mad.

(Eli)"Practice makes perfect," I whisper into her ear.

(Nora) "Sorry," I say, "Go eat," I smile and run to the back and go to the bathroom. I slide down to the floor against the wall. I hug myself and stare at my feet. I could see my dad scolding me. "Sorry, dad," I whisper to myself.

(Eli)"It's okay, beautiful. See you're doing great!" I say.


(Nora) "I'm fine, give me a minute," I close my eyes and wait for my dad to finish screaming at me. I listen to his word like he's preaching. A waste of time, foolish, insane. PERFECTION! PERFECTION! Be strong, be brave, the less emotion the more power. You can not be strong when you feel pity, or sympathy. Total dick, I once called him. That was the biggest mistake. You should've seen what he did to me.

(Eli) She was so beautiful, I watched her dance with full attention.

(Nora) I stand up and wash my face. I take a huge breath and step out. I'm sorry, Jack, but he can control me. I have to listen to him, it's my fault he's gone. I have to make it up. I have to be the daughter he's not ashamed of. Even though thats impossible.

(Eli) "Nothing," I say blushing.

(Nora) I lay down on a couch in the back away from everyone else. I shut my eyes and listened to the music outside.

(eli) I stand there in shock, but regain myself and kiss him back.

(Nora) I sing along to the music softly, putting my arm over my eyes.

(Eli) I smile and let her drag me away.


(Nora)"Perfect," I say, peeking one eye open.

I freeze, "Nothing." I close my eye and cover them with my arms so he couldn't see any emotion on my face.

"I'm not allowed to feel," I whisper. I wasn't allowed to feel, to sing, to dance, to have fun, to waste my time with stupid stuff.

"Emotions make us weak. Dad says I should never be weak. Weak mean failure, not perfection," I mutter not looking at him.

I stare at him, I smile softly and shake my head. I ruffle his hair. He was too amazing. He took my breathe away. "You make my day," I whisper. "You're too much, you know?"

I look up and stare at her. I couldn't help it, my body was used to being numb. To not feeling anything. I look at her amused. "Sup," I nod.

(Eli) I look around and stare at them, I wrap my arm around Em and snuggle close to her.

(Eli) I jumped up and tried to pull Em off. I look around for help.

(Nora) I stare at them. "Should I do something?" Give me the signal and I'll rip her apart.

I watch them amused. This is interesting.

I get up, party over. I grab Lynn and pull her to the exit. "You are not welcome here, leave," I say.

I stare at her, and lean against the frame of the doorway. Poor slutty chick. I wipe any trace of emotion clean off my face. I have to. Dad would be mad. I swallow it down and go out the back and climb up the stair well and sit out on the roof. My skirt dancing and flying eveywhere. The chains on my bra jingles softly.

I stare straight ahead at the full moon. My hair whipped around.

I stand there leaning forward on the edge staring up.


(Eli) I go home. I was going to call Em later.

Yo?

Nah, I'm good. See you later.

"I love you too," I whisper. I leave a few hours later. I hop in my bike and go to McDonald, I eat then drive back to the dorm.

(Adam)I see Em on the swings, I go up to her.
"hey"I say.

"Are you....ummm and Eli together?"

"fine it's just...never mind"

"okay I'll just sit here and eat chocolate"I say.

"I don't know what to ask"

"So he's perfect for you"
