I read it a long time ago and really liked it. It was a time period unknown to me. It made what I've learned in the classroom come to life.
Just finished The Edge on the Sword. The author kept my interest right from the start. I thought it was really interesting to read about this period of history that is so far back in time it almost seems like legend. I like the way this author imagined the young life of an amazing queen I had never even heard of and brought her to life. I also like that at the end of the story, she tells some of the facts about what is known of the adult life of Aethelfraed.
She is a real queen? That's cool :-) I haven't gotten to this book yet but I will request it from the library. Is it an exciting story?
