Thorn walked around in the moonlight.

Kai sniffed the air. Several scents that she knew. Human (she wasn't hungry though), elk and Moon vampire. "Interesting," she mumbled. "A Moon vampire all alone in the dark of the night. Isn't that unusual..."

Thorn stretched.

Thorn stood up and looked around. She could sense someone near her but she couldn't see who.

Kai decided to be friendly. "Hello! I'm Kai."

"I'm thorn. nice to meet you," she bowed respectively.

"May I ask, what are you doing here?"

"I was star gazing. this is my favorite spot. the stars are so clear out here. no humans, or light pollution or clouds. it is perfect." Thorn flashed a brilliant white smile, her fangs exposed only some. Thorn loved sharing this spot with people.

Kai looked up at the deep blue sky and the shimmering stars. "Do you miss being human?"

"Sometimes. Other times i am glad to be this way. this was always my favorite time of the day. I didn't really have a good life either. I am a lot better off this way." her smile didn't fade as she sat on a rock.

Kai looked hurt. "I do. I hate seeing people I liked, loved even, gorw old, sick, and die. Did you ever have a family?"

Thorn put her head down on her knees, "Yes. I had a little sister who died at 3. My mom and dad were drunks and hit me a lot. i had a lot of broken bones as a small child." a small tear rolled down her face.

"Ah...you are glad to see them die. What about your sister? Did you like her?"

"Her name was nessa. she was so sweet. Little sparkling blue eyes, and dark brown ringlets. She was the sweetest little thing. i loved her so much. and my parents haven't died yet. I don;t know where they are though." she said.

"I see. I once had a sister. 3 years older than me. Her name was Snow. SHe was nice to me...my parents were also caring."

"I'm glad. everyone deserves a loving family." she lifted her head and smiled brightly at Kai.

"You do, too. May I ask, what type of vampire are you?"

"i didn't say we all got one. just that we all deserve one. and i am a Moon. You?" she asked.

Kai smiled mysteriously. "Dark. I bet your clan thinks Dark Vampires are evil and should be terminated."

"No. we like to think everyone has something good in them." she looked up into the sky again. she was a bit tense now but she dropped the feeling and her shoulders relaxed.

Kai growled. "Except for Blood Vampires."

Thorn went rigid when she said the name of them, "They are scum and need to be wiped out. They are terrible enough to kill an innocent three year old." she was getting very worked up. especially for a moon vampire. her claws and fangs completely elongated.

Kai nodded. "Oh...I see why. I see. Your sister maybe? I'll tell you something. We are named after what we live for. Blood vampires live for blood. Moon vampires live for light in the dark. As in good even in the monsters we are. And Dark vampires live for the Dark. Concealment, and safety."

"Blood vampires give us a bad name." she wasn't listening to Kai, her claws were digging into her arm and drawing blood. a snarl was growing on her face.

Kai knew what was happening. She grabbed Thorn. "Thorn, Thorn! This is not who you are! Not now! YOu can't become full vampire now! Think! Massacre! Please!"

She glared at Kai for a moment, her eyes blacker then night, then she snapped out of it and gasped when she saw her arm, "Crap!" she spat getting a leaf and cleaning the blood, then buried the leaf. "Sorry. i just really hate them... which Moon vamps don't do. Thanks." she sighed, relieved.

Kai smiled. "No problem. I used to do that when I was young. My eyes turned fiery red, yours?"

"Black or silver. depending on the level of anger i guess. when she was killed i did that. They were gold. that was the only time they have gone that color. i got angry with my parents a lot. there was lots of silver, and thinking about them it was black." she explained, yawning.

"Hm. i wonder why they change at all." thorn said.

Kai, who was very in vampire history and anatomy answered immeadiately. "Well, anger creates excessive venom in the vampire body. It flows to every inch of the body. Even the eyes. Venom can do many things to the body. If you get too mad, you might either explode with venom or become a souless Blood vampire. A corpse of a Blood vampire has been found to contain 92.87% venom."

thorn eyed her curiously, "Hm. Where did you learn that?" she smiled.

"Decades of expeirience and my master." Kai smirked.

"Hm." she said, clearly impressed.

thorn yawned again, "I think i need to head home. the sun is about to come up." she said.

Kai looked up. "I see, farewell, friend. I hope to meet you again."
