When in the 1950s does this take place? The character I'm thinking of is black, and since segregation ended in 1954, how I fit him into the roleplay kind of depends on how far into the decade we are.

Or maybe I should just choose someone else because research is hard.

I think Mandy and I were saying 1956? So you could definitely use a black character!
