100 Don't Read List
#4 Venom by Fiona Paul. I will forever wish I hadn't finished it. Due to suggestive content and creepyness.
(I didn't read the whole thing, just skipped to the end after awhile to find out where everyone ended up. I wish I hadn't :(
#6. Hands of Darkness
(Creepy off the chart- laid it down and never finished it because of it. *scared face* )

I know a lot of people will disagree but- The Divergent series! Way too much inappropriate content...I only read Divergent and then the first few pages of Insurgent so I don't know if it's got bad language.
#9 - "River of Stars", by Guy Gavriel Kay. For being a mashup of historical fiction and fantasy in a place based on ancient China, the book has a surprising amount of coarse language and shall-we-say explicit scenes within the first quarter of the book. I gave up soon after that. It's predecessor, "Under Heaven", has far less of that and is therefore bearable if you're mature about it.
#11- I know they're considered "Christian", but I'll just say: Stay away from Deeanne Gist's books. Way too sensual! And even if that wasn't an issue, the stories aren't that great anyway. :/
Yeah, I've heard that! I know I tried to read Deep In The Heart Of Trouble and it seemed really boring..And the couple barely knew each other at the place in the book where I was reading so I didn't have to experience any inappropriate content. Thanks for letting me know!
I don't recommend reading anything Mary Connealy....Super cheesy..They're not inappropriate books they're just too lame for me!
I agree about Deeanne Gist though. She would be a great author, I think, if her novels were actually appropriate.
All right. In what way were they cheesy to you, if you don't mind my asking? (If you do, you don't need to answer.) :)
Well, to be honest, I haven't read one of her books in a few years. I just remember that the relationship was kind of predictable. Since you love her so much, I think I'll try her again. :-)
Oh yeah, well, they are pretty predictable. But aren't most love stories? They fall in love, something gets in their way, they conquer it, and live happily ever after.I really like them, but don't try again just because of me. :)
13-ish: Sweet Valley Twins series. *gag* Those are so so so so so SO shallow and stupid....
14. Invasion of the Overworld--even if you're a Minecraft fan, this isn't great. Yes, I plan to read the sequel, and the plot was okay, but the writing was so I-don't-even-know-how-to-describe-this-politely that I can't recommend it.
Haha that's okay Halee(: I'm an open book- Hahaha get it? But I'm serious I'm pretty open. Of course I only read clean books but I'm sure there are some clean romance books(: But just for preference really. Romance movies make me even lonelier. Okay that probably sounded pathetic. Hahahaha XP
I only read clean romance and it does make me kinda lonely but I don't really expect to be married in my mid-teens anyway, so... :)
15. Amazing Questions & Answers--I got it as a gift, flipped through it, there was something about evolution or the big bang...nope! The other sections were kind of cool, though.
Oh! Speaking of getting books, I HIGHLY recommend NOT reading Miss Pereginne's (not the correct spelling) Home For Peculiar Children! I only thumbed through it but it looked VERY disturbing!

I liked it. Yes, it was weird, but I've read weirder. (See my first post in this thread for an example...) :)

Ohhhh gotcha!!! Definitely not gonna read that one. Sounds like something that would make me upset xP
Samantha wrote: "It was! I threw that book away...literally. I hate doing that to books but that one asked for it"Omg yes. That book was TERRIBLE. Usually James Patterson writes some pretty good books, but that was not one of them.
#19 The Tin-Tin books and movie.
