Who was your favorite character in "Three Rules" and why do you feel that way?

I want to say my favorite character is Hope because even though she felt like she was broken, and defeated, she had strength she hadn't uncovered yet, resilience beyond belief. But, Instead, I pick Lucas as my favorite character, because of what he starts out as in the beginning of the book and ends up being in the end. If you have read it, you'll know what I mean. If you haven't finished, I don't want to give away too many details. :)

Joey is by far my favorite character, besides Hope. He stands by her throughout her childhood and into adulthood, becoming her strength and picking up the pieces of her fallen self when she didn't have the fortitude to do it for herself.

I have a friend like that and I wouldn't know what I'd do without him.

I think that's why I created him, because Hope needed him. He isn't based on any real person. I'm glad you had someone like him, though.
