Min (minbuchanan) I just got your newsletter. Nice new website, by the way! I just have to say that I LOVED Ice Study. I can't wait for the rest.

Also, I can't wait for Sea Glass to come out. Is it coming out a month early? I thought it was scheduled for September, but the Newsletter says August. Not that I'm complaining! : )

Oooooohh shiny! James Grogan rocks, what a great site!

I'm saving "Ice Study" for after dinner... I think it will go perfectly with a frozen mango bar for dessert.

FYI my B-store is now taking Reservations for Sea Glass! (yes, it ends with "orders"). You can pre-order online or reserve at your closest store.

Reema | 142 comments Website is really cool!!!!
Haven't read Ice Study yet but cant wait to get into it.
Finished the book i was reading last night and was going to start Ice Study tonight but on my way home i popped in to the book shop. Very bad idea!!!! Or good - depends on how you look at it.
Well i ended up buying 5 books including The Mammoth Book of Paranormal Romance. I couldn't wait until i got home so i went straight to Maria's story and started reading on the bus home.

Have to go make dinnier now :o( - (got told off the last time i started reading Maria's books as i kindda forgot to eat for about 3 days!!!)

Maria V. Snyder (maria_v_snyder) | 186 comments Glad everyone likes the new site. James Grogan really enoyed my books and wanted to help out :) His first design was gorgeous with reds and golds to match Poison Study - it had an old scroll for where the text went. But since I wrote more than Poison Study and have some YA books on the way... I asked if he could come up with something modern and classic and he did!

To answer Mindy's question - SEA GLASS is due out on August 25, 2009 - the publisher calls that a September title and some bookstores wait to put the book out on Sept 1 - but others put them out as soon as the box arrives :) I know Amazon and B&N will ship it as soon as they get it - I'm not JK Rowling so my "lay down" dates are do or die ;>

Reema | 142 comments Any chance we could see some of the other designs? They sound nice.

It's not fair, Sea Glass is not out here untill untill - well i don't know, they don't even have a date in the shop as Storm Glass isn't out for another 7 days!!!! (I keep trying and they keep giving me the same answer, they are going to get sick of me soon!!!) Also i need the american cover to keep my set complete. Does amazon US ship to the UK?

Reema, I think Amazon does ship to the UK. But if you really want the US cover you can get it from powells.com. I'm nearly 99% sure they'll ship outside the US. And you can specify in your order that you only want the US cover. They're really good about things like that. (I should get a commission or something for how often I rave about Powell's!) : P

message 8: by Reema (new)

Reema | 142 comments Thanks i'll have a look. I was getting a little worried i would be waiting for a long time!

message 9: by Min (new)

Min (minbuchanan) Well if you want the US covers you don't have to wait for them to come out over there anyway. You can have them now! : )

message 10: by Maria (new)

Maria V. Snyder (maria_v_snyder) | 186 comments LOL Reema - I have the sudden urge to hug you!

FYI - SEA GLASS is coming out in the UK in January 2010 :)

message 11: by Reema (new)

Reema | 142 comments See that's what i mean, it's just far tooooooooo long! How am i going to wait untill then? I just won't be able to do it. I will be driving my boyfriend mad - even worse than i already am.

I'm glad you find this funny! I think a hug sounds lovely and would really help right now! This is really driving me mad having to wait for books. Especially as i am now on holiday and all i want to do is read.

message 12: by Min (new)

Min (minbuchanan) Reema - why don't you just order them from the US and then you don't have to wait anymore. Or better yet, maybe you're boyfriend will order them for you to preserve his sanity. :-D

message 13: by Erin (new)

Erin | 2 comments OK,so I signed up for the FREE EMAIL NEWSLETTER. Where is the Ice Study? Does it go through there? I really want to read it. Help!

That sounds like a great idea! It's worth a try. I'll let you know how that goes. I still have to wait untill September though. You would think i'd have so much patience as i work with kids but i really don't!

Min (minbuchanan) Reema - Portland, OR is nice. : P I love my city. Here is the NY Times page on Portland. I have to say NY Times Travel editor must also really love this city. I've read all of these articles and they are spot on! We really have that much cool stuff.

Reema | 142 comments I'm stuck in Leicester in the UK and i can tell you i'm only here because this is where my boyfriend and my Capoeira group is. I'm origionally from Birmingham which isn't that great either. My boyfriend has a good job and with the current state of things we wouldn't think about moving. Would love to live somewhere else though! Maybe when the recession is over. I will put Portland on the possible list and see what he says! :o)

I know how that goes. : ) Portland is a cool place to visit for sure. I've applied for grad school in NY and I'll be sad to leave here, even if it is only for 18 months. : (

The only other place I'd really see myself living is maybe Edinburgh. I really like it there, but I think I'd still eventually miss the laid back and super earth friendly Portland vibe.

message 23: by Reema (new)

Reema | 142 comments Edinburgh Scotland right? Thats a really nice place. I have family in Glasgow so when i go visit i always go to Edinburgh for a day or 2. They have a great Capoeira group as well!!! It's so beautiful in the winter - really really cold but really beautiful.

Yeah, Edinburgh Scotland. My husband goes for work, so we've been there quite often. The weather is very Oregon-like, which is perfect for me! I like that a short drive will have you out of the city and into the country. With as sprawled out as the US is, that isn't a common thing, especially in a bigger city.

message 26: by Keelin (new)

Keelin | 96 comments ugh i could never live in the town and a citys even worse !!!!!!!!!!!! :O:O:O:O:O:O:O:O its far tooo crowded, give me sheep and grass any day although i got attacked by a lamb one day. der not nice at all !!!!!!!!!!!!

message 27: by Reema (new)
