I loved this book, and had the opportunity to meet Marissa Meyer a couple of years ago. What a delightful person! There are so many rewrites of fairy tales, but she really does it well.

I stayed up all night reading this book. I literally devoured it. It is defiantly a YA book, but I love any book that takes my childhood fairy tales, and gives them a new twist. I am a huge fan of the Wicked series, and also liking the Dorothy must die books.
Our Cinder(ella) is cyborg, adopted by a man who died shortly after returning home. She is left with her hateful stepmother, and two stepsisters. She works as a mechanic to pay the bills, but secretly hopes for freedom one day. This futuristic take will suck you in. I found it a fun light read after reading The Goldfinch. Happy reading.
