I suggest a spell-it-out of cruise lines.Azamara Club Cruises-Celebrity-Costa-Cunard-American Cruise Lines-Viking-Royal Caribbean International-Disney-Holland America-Carnival-Princess-MSC Cruises-Regent Seven Seas-Norwegian. There are more, but I just can't think of them.

(This can be for April) Since it's the month of flowers blooming, why not have a challenge where everyone picks a type of flower, example "rose" and they have to read a book that has a rose on it's cover, or a rose in its name, or perhaps a character named rose, just read a book that has something to do with your flower! This challenge is great because you are free to choose your own flower as you please, and if you are really ambitious, you can do more than one! :)
I love that idea :) It's very creative and I hope Victoria likes it because she is in charge of challenges next month :D
How many challenges in a month? Just one? Or can we have a few different ones and people can just choose which they want to accomplish?
Kasia, I usually do two a month :) We could get some more challenges running though, if you guys wanted ones that you can complete whenever you want throughout the year? Thanks for the idea Jim!
This can apply to any month you like!Classic challenge: You have to read 1 classic this month. It cannot be a reread, it must be something you've never read! As well, you must choose your book from the list below. Once a book is taken, you cannot read that book. First come, first serve!
The Secret Garden by Frances H
Peter Pan by J.M Barrie
Alice's adventures in wonderland by Lewis Carroll
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
To kill a mockingbird by Harper Lee
Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare
Lord of the flies by William Golding
The hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien
Hamlet by William Shakespeare
Macbeth by William Shakespeare
The diary of a young girl by Anne Frank
Anne of green gables by L.M Montgomery
The lion, the witch, and the wardrobe by C.S Lewis
One book per person! Start picking and reading. :)
I just want to add to that ^ instead of just the first book of the chronicles of Narnia, people can choose any book from the series (prince Caspian, the sliver chair etc)
Something odd has been happening with GR.. I see things missing and comments not being shown properly!

Landscape challenge: read books that take place in the following countries (have to do minimum 3, you can choose from the list) - France
- Italy
- England
- Australia
- Russia
- Norway
- Sweden
- Scotland
1 point received for each country that is included in your book, and 2 points if the author of the book is the same nationality as the country in the book(example L.M.M author of Anne of green gables is Canadian and the book was set in Canada.)
Simple, but something I think will give a little challenge: read only YA books by male authors. The majority of YA authors are female, so I think it would be interesting to have a month dedicated to the males! 1 point per YA book read by male author, 2 points if reviewed.
Series month! This challenge will give a spotlight to series. I would say 4+ books counts as a series(3 books is a trilogy) The challenge is to start and finish a series in one month. 1 point per book in each series, and 2 points per book reviewed. The longer the series, the more points you get! However, if you fail to complete a series, you get zero points, even if you read some of the books. So pick a series you feel comfortable with finishing within the month!
This challenge is meant to encourage everyone to read bigger books! For every 100 pages your book has, you get 5 points. Example: If your book has 500+ pages but under 600 pages, you would get 25 points. Books have to be at least 200 pages to count (so you can't read a book with 100 pages and get 5 points.)
