Colfer is definitely a nerd. He is unashamedly in love with learning, with discoveries and experiments and reaching into the depths of space. He loves the dwarf planets and the many moons and he loves learning the name of every star in every constellation. Colfer loves a lot of things, and he's not afraid to be vocal about it.
There are many awkward nerds in this world, but Colfer is not one of them. His words never falter, his tone stays even, he is not afraid or unsure of who he is or where he stands. He is assertive, practically glowing as he speaks of his passions, clinging to them as visions are carved into his mind. He has the resolve of his mother's, the morality which instills his brutal honesty as well as his terrifying stubborn streak. With the brilliance of his father and the tenacity of his mother, Colfer walks into a room and the spotlight naturally graces his path, not due to a commanding charisma or an otherwordly beauty, but simply from the steadfast confidence that radiates from his every pore. Colfer is proud of who he is, and it shows.
Don't decieve yourself into thinking that Colfer's love for celestial bodies somehow makes him angel. Along with his love for space, Colfer is ingrained with smartass tendencies and an annoying need to always have the last word. Sarcasm is loaded as his default weapon and unlike his sister, he chooses his words over his legs when brought to the battlefield. But don't think that Colfer isn't willing to raise hell. Perhaps he isn't the fastest or the most coordinated (yes, he mother was a dancer, no, genetics did not work in his favour) but he does know how to make a self-igniting molotov cocktail in under four minutes, so who's the real winner now?

The contract - is it worth the price? Does truth exist beyond the gates?
Extraverted, charismatic, and confident. He seems like, either a ray of sunshine who inspires and radiates love, or a thick-layered manipulator who tells you the time after he stole your watch--there is nothing in between. There are always two versions of a story when you ask people about Troy.
He is a really good guy. He's so selfless, and always trying to help as much as he can.
He is after something. I don't know what, but it seems like he is selling a very dangerous contract for helpless people to sign.
People are drawn to his strong personalities. Some might think he is a saint, some might think he is a con artist. Two different perspectives. Two sides of a coin. Troy has the natural social skill, and getting involved into people's activity is not a hard thing to do for him. Although he follows his instinct when he is about to make a decision, Troy never avoid the logical facts from his consideration; he will try to balance them. Some finds him altruistic, because of his warm smile and selflessness. Other finds him idealistic--to a fault, like he tries to fix everyone's imperfection because they're not ideal to him.
Born as a Four, it's in his nature to become a leader. His family runs hotel bussiness, and even though Troy won't inherit it--perks of being the third son out of four-, it doesn't mean he didn't know about Bussiness 101. At least he can use it to do good with his life--to know how to manage everytime from time to money, or how to gain people's trust, or the trick of teamwork-.
Sounds like a perfect human being, right? But Troy is flawed. His strengths are his liabilities and he can be easily caught off guard. Being an idealist, Troy is obsessed with turning everything into something right. Sure he is good at teamwork, but he oftens get too excited and refuse to let other people to participate--because he thinks he can do it better than them-. When Troy asks you for opinion, it's not because he is very confident and want you to think the same, but because he is so insecure, that he cannot meet his expectation, or he can't help people like he'd promised.
But either way, he has a kind of villainous look, don't you think?

There’s no certainty that tomorrow will come, so it’s only natural that feelings would sway.
There's a beauty in the breakdown--and Lyle Spielman holds into that idea. He believes in chance for a greater good. He values the possibilites in people, in healing them after bein wrecked at the bottom of a disaster. Caring and compassionate, Lyle always encouraging people to explore themshelves without being judgemental. He's flexible, and able to see from different points of view. His goal in life is to search for meaning and authenticity within himself.
Lyle listens to everyone, and very patient when he does that. You can burst into emotional wrecking ball, whining and complaining, and Lyle, being such a well-contained person he is, will gently respond to you. But when it comes to his own personal agenda, Lyle only talks to few. Perhaps because he is the oldest son with six younger siblings relying on him. Or because he has no one to talk with--his mother is too busy mourning to even care about her children, and the father he always admire was gone when he was too young to witness the cruelty of real life-. He becomes adult too soon. He sacrifices his own youth so that his brothers and sisters can have theirs.
The problem with Lyle, is that he takes problem personally, even when he doesn't have to. Other people's pain worried him, and it makes him feel terrible if he cannot do anything to help. His need of self-fulfilling prophecies often makes Lyle lose himself. His reserved and self-consciousness make it difficult for other to really know him.
All the pep-talks his father used to give him seem like daydreams, back when his father sheltered him an eternity ago. But after he died, Lyle started to questioned himself. His heart tells him to explore himself, to become a greater man like his father would want him to be. His brain and its damn logic whispers the opposite, you are just a lowly poor Six, and you're not going to be anything remotely better because that's where you belong.
Now he is something else. Now he is a Palace Guard, a Two. But it comes with a price, and Lyle has this feeling like he hasn't pay all his debt.
The question is: his brain, or his heart - which one is correct about Lionel Spielman?

Description:Sebastian is very flexible. He has the build of a dancer. He is tough, loyal, and handsome. He could have easily worked his way to a model if he wanted to. He can get scary sometimes.
History: Sebastian was the middle child of a family of three. His older brother was abusive and his parents didn't do anything about it. His older brother became a sculpter. His parents thought dancing wouldn't make money but Sebastian loved it. His mother died giving birth to his younger brother when he was 13. Sebastian's father became a drug addict and even more abusive than Sebastian's older brother. Sebastian protected his younger brother and became stronger with every beating. Sebastian's older brother died from overdose the day Sebastian joined the royal guard. Sebastian and his brother (who also became a dancer) keep in touch.

A few things:
1) The face claim looks wayyyyy too old to be twenty-one. I know Matthew Lewis is 26 in real life, but I think that the picture needs to be changed, because appearance-wise, above, Sebastian looks around 30 versus 21. Mind you, the face claim doesn't need changing, but please do find a picture where he looks closer to 21.
2) The personality has to be longer. While succinct personalities are not frowned upon, that gave almost no description whatsoever about him. The entire point of a description is that we become somewhat well-acquainted with the character, their personality, their motives, their life and how it has affected them. Please change it so that it's not simply a rambling of traits but a more inclusive description of Sebastian as a whole.
3) How did his father make money if he was a drug addict and abusive? Fives make money through their arts-- they invest all their time in whatever art they do, and this implies that a) his father had money to spare to buy drugs or b) they lived on the streets??? they were eights??? Please be more detailed about this.
4) Became stronger with every beating. As someone who has worked with kids who are victims of physical abuse, let me just say that if anything, abuse completely rips you apart. It makes you feel unloved. Perhaps physically you fight back and learn to throw punches (there are children who have literally killed their abusive parents in the process of fighting back) but emotionally, these children are incredibly vulnerable. Fighting back abuse does not give you any power, it gives you terror as you realise that you are becoming the abuser and continuing the cycle. It gives you lasting psychological damage and is one of the worst aspects of humanity.
Abuse is trigger word here, and I want you to know that while we will allow it, if it is romanticised or used as a plot-tool, we will immediately confiscate that aspect of your character. I've had some bad experiences with things such as abuse/mental-disorders being misrepresented in the past, and this is the best way to handle this. If it conflicts with anything, I am sorry, but there is no arguing with this one.
Here is a good website to acquaint you with all the general effects of abuse, if you are still planning on incorporating that aspect. If used, we expect you to research the topic thoroughly. Sorry for being so harsh about this, but like I said, it is something that happens in real life and must be treaded on extremely carefully.

Unknowable. People look into the eyes of the living Apollo with his golden curls and fail to see the light in his bright blue eyes. There are emotions drifting beneath the ice, but they are unreadable, anchored so far below the surface that to most, they are no more than shadows. His wit flows readily, but it is impersonal. He laughs easily, but the sound is foreign, garbled, as if the wind stole it and left behind only a spectre of what once was.
No one bothers to ask who Matthew Johnston is. No, the question is a matter of what. What is he? What is this creature with the gun in his hands and the knives in his throat? The sun-kissed hair deems him a god, the savage glint in his eyes, a monster, and yet, the careless way his fingers linger screams of youth, of a boy who has forgotten how to be a boy.
Once, not too long ago, Matthew's name was that of a dead man, a man who had never forgotten what it meant to laugh like a child. Adrian. There was a time when Adrian believed that the loathing in his father's soul was directed towards him, forgetting the self in self-hate and crumbling as he was denied love, once, twice, thrice. There was a time when Adrian clung to laughter, remembered the taste of it on his lips with desperate hope that it may one day revive the man whose tongue knew only guilt and alcohol. But little boys grow up, and Adrian learned that there was nothing he could do to save his father, and if he wasn't careful, there would come a day when his heart would also be stolen and he, too, would be beyond hope.
Both Matthew and Adrian have sworn that that day will never come. The northern rebel disguised as a palace guard, the romantic disguised as the cynic, the broken boy disguised as a god, they are one an the same, holding tenaciously to the anthem which whispers fake it till you make it, as if steel blades and sarcastic blows can shield one's heart from love. People ask, what is Matthew Johnston? But that is the wrong question, because what is he not? He is everything they accuse him to be, and at the same time, he is nothing at all, a lie of a name entangled in the fear of a boy who believes that if pain is the price one has to pay to love, it is better to not love at all.

☁ [History] : Before Collin was introduced to the life of a palace guard, he was a humble Five. He was a performer along with his parents. He played many instruments, but played the guitar best of all, and held it closest to his heart. He was a dedicated musician, a hard worker, and very close to his family. When Collin turned 15, his father fell ill and died within a couple of short weeks. His mother fell into a great depression and Collin was left working on his own ever since. A large piece of his mother went with her husband, and Collin worried often about her and his younger siblings, too young to help him with work.
His mother wasn't able to play anymore, do much of anything but stare out the window all day and stare at the fire all night. As his mother seemed to age 30 years after her husband's death, Collin seemed to age 20, not physically, but in any other way. He grew hard and quiet, focused, and worked himself to the bone to provide for himself and his mother. Despite the fact that he would have to leave his mother and his younger siblings and didn't have time to play any more, he was glad he was honored with working at the palace. That way he didn't have to work as hard to provide more for his family. They would be taken care of for a while, until he could retire.
Collin had always been a lonely boy, even when his father was alive and his family well and merry. His father was his best friend, and when he was gone, so was any chance of Collin ever breaking out of his usual silence. He rarely smiles now, and not anything seems good enough to make it happen either. Despite the wall he's built around himself to keep others out and his feelings in, Collin has hope, he has the energy and the will to make it the best he can for his mother with his father gone forever. Little does Collin know he wants something else rather than a good job and a bit of hope...

“ lost boys, lost girls, hot tires, wild animals ╾ Most people will take one look at Ezra and immediately dismiss him as being young, naive, and scatter-brained. They aren't wrong. But like with anyone, it's not that simple either. It seems as though Ezra has not grown up all that much in his seventeen years on this planet. He was the class clown; now he's the one making awful puns and cracking terrible jokes in the barracks, somehow earning laughs. He was the little boy on the playground walking on top of the monkey bars because someone told him he couldn't; now he's that kid who won't turn down a dare, ever, and that doesn't always end well. Some people think seventeen is practically being an adult. Ezra shudders when people say the word "responsibilities" and hopes he never becomes boring.
There's a snarky little shit hidden behind the crystalline blue eyes, scruffy hair, and ridiculous facial expressions. Ezra simply cannot keep his mouth shut, no matter how hard he tries -- not that he ever tries very hard on that count. (But with anything else, he will throw his heart and soul into it.) There's a disconcerting lack of a filter on his mouth, and paired with the confidence of someone who finds himself absolutely hilarious and the observant eyes of a curious child, it makes for some comical snippets and snide comments. But there's a problem with all this: Ezra does not understand sarcasm. Sure, he understands it (in theory), but he doesn't understand it. Any sort of sarcastic comment aimed at Ezra will be answered with a confused, puppy-like blink of utter innocence (and Ezra is anything but utterly innocent), the type that so effectively neutralizes the power of sarcasm. Because what's the point if the one who's supposed to be offended doesn't understand that he's being insulted?
And sure, he's about as naive as it gets when one's lived their whole life as a six. He acts as immature as it's possible to act when one is a seventeen year old guard working in the palace. But sometimes Ezra just hopes. Just hopes, in general. Hopes things will be alright, hopes the world can get better, hopes that there's still someone out there who hasn't been crushed by the world -- because he's seen those lifeless eyes and heard those dull words. He hopes he'll never become that empty inside. ╾ we won't live forever. ”

Van knew from the start that the castes were wrong. He knew that his whole life he would be defined by a number, not be the true him. How could so many people be going hungry, and the other percentage be content living a life of luxury? He didn’t understand. As Van got older he started to except that there would never be enough food on the table, no matter how hard his family and him worked. Then Van’s father started to drink and was fired from his job. He had to do something, so he signed up to be a guard. Van didn’t want to, he didn’t want to serve the royal family. He blamed them for his father’s drinking, for his family going hungry, and for making castes in the first place. But he had no choice.
Van hated the idea of the selection. He hated all the money the royal family put into it, he hated how they lied about it being random girls chosen, and he hated how they treated the girls like prize pigs at a county fair. Van wanted to run, far away from the castle. He wanted to go join the Northern Rebels, and knock the royals down a few pegs. But he couldn’t, he had to fight for his family’s survival. He had to parade spoiled little brats around the castle. Sometimes Van just wanted hit the prince right in the face. He had ruined to many families, and hurt to many people, and he sat on his thrown as if nothing was wrong. Van hated them all.
You can’t just cover your eyes and pretend like terrible things aren’t happening, simply because you can’t see them.
