the world is interesting and the lingo is a little weird but it's not bad :)

I totally agree with you @Trisha about the Dummy (view spoiler)[I still want to know more about it though, like where it came from beside the 5th floor. I'm curious about everything just like Kid is, and want to know more about this paper and why it happened. (hide spoiler)]

okay, I'm confused

Illegal Arts Workshop (view spoiler)[ I'm trying to understand what that is.
Okay, so at one point she stumbled on two people talking. Were they talking about the Illegal ARt workshop? Because I thought she found a spray painted sign??

and then she actually goes to it!! but I didn't really understand what is was....did you? maybe they give more detail in the next chapter (hide spoiler)]

she's just awful. She pretty much forced her to spend money so Kid could look better around her
she insinuated she needed to lose weight/watch her weight when she picked her food
AND she was a jerk about the music
and about Jeremy - implying Kid was lying about him looking at her page.

I totally understand that he's frustrated with Ari
I also think he might be dead on about Jeremy being a jerk (maybe all his friends ARE jerks!)

both of these friends (view spoiler)[ just seem to pull Kid into their world. Neither of them seem too interesting about Kid herself or what she wants to do (hide spoiler)]

Branded (view spoiler)[ Is it just me? Branded reminds me of cattle at a farm. Branding just sounds bad. (hide spoiler)]

I can't figure out why (view spoiler)[ Kid seem ridiculous one moment - about making her she fits in and "oh this boy might like me!" - and then the next minute, she's shunning being branded and/or her music getting out to people.
She seems inconsistent as a character - either she's superficial and into all this game/branded stuff
or she's not.I just can't figure it out (hide spoiler)]

Haven't read anymore but I do plan to read more of it tonight. It will probably take me a few days to finish the book though.

This is a very strange book so far. Hopefully it starts to pick up and get better.

right? I found myself pretty confused during large chunks of the book because I just didn't understand what was going on.....

Chapter 15

Kid:(view spoiler)[She is kinda confusing when it comes to Jeremy. I wonder who Zeronet is and why they sent her that message, it's a bit creepy. (hide spoiler)]

Ari:(view spoiler)[Yeah she really isn't a true friend she only care's about her and her looks really, I didn't like how she made Kid buy that outfit when she didn't have the money to buy it. She's very judgmental when it comes to Kid. (hide spoiler)]

Mikey:(view spoiler)[I wonder why he really doesn't like Ari I can understand it maybe about how she acts and maybe treats Kid and doesn't seem to care about there band stuff, but if it's not I'm not sure why. (hide spoiler)]

It sure is a weird/interesting book so far. Just the world and the way things are described or not described which confuses me at some points.

I'm going to finally finish the book tonight. Only have about 70 pages left to read.
