it doesn't seem to have any shelving cindie...I don't think it will work, since it doesn't have the GLBT shelving
Dee wrote: "it doesn't seem to have any shelving cindie...I don't think it will work, since it doesn't have the GLBT shelving"Huh, weird because its GR description is lesbian Jewish magical realism...I will read it anyway and see what happens! Thanks!
If I read Angel's Hero & Angel's Truth - Liz Borino together, would that be ok?Also if I got them both approved for length together?
Fiona (Titch) wrote: "If I read Angel's Hero & Angel's Truth - Liz Borino together, would that be ok?Also if I got them both approved for length together?"
Sorry, Fiona. According to SRC Rules: Only plays or books of poetry may be combined to reach the 100 page minimum. Other genres of books must meet the 100+ page requirement on their own. So those won't work for the challenge.
Abigail wrote: "How's The Price of Salt? Thanks!"That'll work.
The Price of Salt - GLBT - 26 users - 2/24
Nikki wrote: "Will Middlesex work? It has 233 users as of right now."It will and I loved that book! Hope you do, too, if that's the one you end up choosing.
Helen wrote: "How about Annie on My Mind - GLBT 293 users as of today"Genre noted in post 2 in case it changes.....
If I got Jack: Grime and Punishment - Z.A. Maxfield (Glbt 7 users) authorised for length (was authorised on the SRC ebook verification @ number 580), can I read it?
Fiona (Titch) wrote: "If I got Jack: Grime and Punishment - Z.A. Maxfield (Glbt 7 users) authorised for length (was authorised on the SRC ebook verification @ number 580), can I read it?"It has GLBT on its main page, so it fits.

Hmmmm ... I could have sworn that earlier today I saw that someone had gotten approval for
by Pamela Moore. But when I look now, it's not on the approved list, and it doesn't have the genre on the main page. Was I dreaming?
Book Concierge wrote: "Hmmmm ... I could have sworn that earlier today I saw that someone had gotten approval for

Book Concierge,That book has been noted as having the GLBT genre in the Spring 2014 Genre verification thread here . . . https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Thanks for the help, Rebecca NJ and Sandi!Book Concierge, they're right. That book was approved in the Genre Verification thread so it's good. So is The Year of Ice. I'll add that one to post 2 of this thread so if the genre disappears like it did on Chocolates for Breakfast, you're still covered.

The Family Man - GLBT - 6 users - 3/29
I have a question Kristi, and feel free to tell me no, I'm sure if I dig far enough one of the MM books I read will actually have the GLBT designation. But the one I was thinking of using doesn't have the genre on the main page, but it does have the MM Romance Genre there. It is essentially a sub category of GLBT, but it still may not work for this challenge. I was thinking of Billy's Bones.
Please just let me know. Thanks!
Shelby wrote: "I have a question Kristi, and feel free to tell me no, I'm sure if I dig far enough one of the MM books I read will actually have the GLBT designation. But the one I was thinking of using doesn't ..."No, sorry, GLBT actually has to appear on the book's main page.

Because spring showers often bring rainbows, read a book with the genre GLBT on its main page. The genre may stand alone or be embedded under another genre.
