Cabin Slipper - FULL
Tess knocked on the opened door. "Knock, knock," she said with a smile. "Oh oops, sorry. Do you want me to come back later?" she asked with a frown. She really had missed her sister lately, as they hadn't hung out as much since they left their home.
Tess winced as her sister hit her head. "You okay?" she asked, stepping further into the room. When Darley asked her what she'd been up to, she blushed. "Oh nothing much," Tess lied, looking down with a small smile on her lips. She was a good liar, just not around her sister.
Tess blushed deeper. "Just around you," she said, a smile creeping onto her face. "It's just so hard to lie to you." Tess smirked, "But have fun figuring it out," she said, leaning on a nearby bunk bed.
Tess watched as her sister glared playfully at her. She was able to compose herself, finally calming down. "Oh I can be stubborn too," Tess said with a smirk. Darley broke out into a grin and asked if it was a guy. Tess was still smirking, this time not blushing. "You'd like that, wouldn't you?" she teased, neither confirming nor denying if it was a guy.
Tess was still smirking, impressed with herself and her composure. She snorted when Darley started to think she did something rebellious. "Oh you don't know half of it. I was rebellious at home, I just was sneaky enough for it to go unnoticed," Tess said, thinking about how she would leave in the middle of the night to her hideout.
"True." Tess always had been known as the mature, good child. Darley knew that it was important to Tess to not disappoint their parents, so she took the blame. Plus Darley enjoyed the attention. "You're killing me smalls," Tess quoted with a smile. "Well if you must know..." she trailed off, leaving her sister in suspense.
Tess grinned. "Well if I tell you it's a guy then you'll probably want to know who it is, and I don't want mom or dad getting word of it. You know how.. particular they can be," Tess said, rolling her eyes. Tess was more comfortable than usual, talking with her sister. 'Maybe because I'm much happier now. Slowly getting better from it,' she mentally concluded, happy at the thought. Tess grinned as she felt the closeness that seemed to be occurring- that they could still joke around and have fun.
Tess knew the real reason they had grown apart, but she hadn't ever explained to her little sister just why. How it had occurred, and why the sudden change. Tess had a look on her face, as if saying she wanted to tell Darley something, she just didn't know how she'd feel. It was a look of hesitance and debate of trust, as Tess didn't feel fully confident that Darley would understand.

Tess laughed. "Yes, it is," she finally admitted. Darley noticed her mental debate and she sighed, sitting on the bed across from Darley. She wiped her sweaty hands on her jeans, nervous to tell her little sister the truth. "Do you remember the first huge fight we had?" she asked, her eyes closed. "I can't remember what it was, but it was the only time I slapped you. It was across the face. I think I was thirteen or fourteen," Tess brought up, opening her eyes, her voice full of remorse for doing that. "We were close before that, but then we began to grow further and further apart. Have you ever wondered about that?" she asked, inhaling a shaky breath, fully aware of how nervous she was.
"Me too," Tess said softly. She started to blink quickly when she realized that her little sister had blamed herself for what had happened- why they grew so far apart. "It was not your fault," Tess told her, dead serious. "I am so sorry you have thought that this whole time. It was never your fault," Tess told Darley, looking directly into her eyes the whole time. She finally broke eye contact, and began speaking again.
"It was completely my fault," Tess told her, her voice cracking. "Darley, it was all my fault." Sadness filled her eyes, along with remorse. "I haven't even told mom or dad this," Tess told her, so Darley could understand the seriousness of what she was about to say.

Tess began to speak. "I began to feel worthless and hopeless. Like all the happiness had just been sucked from my life. It made me feel like an outcast, all alone. Do you know how when you go down stairs and you miss a step, and your stomach lurches? Well depression is a bit like that, except it lasts so much longer than just that moment. I don't know why I felt this way- and I most likely will never know." Tess pulled a crumpled up piece of paper out of her pocket, flattening it out. She began to read the poem.
"My mind is an overgrown jungle, and your axe blade won't help you at all. Because the vines of my pain are too thick here, and the thorns of my sorrow too tall. My mind is an overgrown jungle, there is no entrance to let you inside, in fear that you'll cut down my branches, and find the feelings I've worked hard to hide. The vines tie in knots in my jungle, to form a rooftop that blocks out the light so the sun might be warm on the outside, but the inside's as cold as the night. There's a house made of thorns in my jungle, I've spent years making it feel like home. I can do anything I want here, to take my mind off the fact that I'm alone. Because the problem with overgrown jungles is there's always more vines that will sprout. And I know it's hard to get in here, but it's ten times as hard to get out." Tess looked up, right at Darley.

Tess felt Darley's arms wrap around her, their embrace lasting long. "It's okay," she told Darley, wiping her eyes. "I didn't feel comfortable telling anyone. I just.. never forgave myself for being so hard on you. It made me feel like I was being thrown out to sea, struggling to return," Tess told her sister, her voice cracking. Tears welled up in her eyes.
"It's not your responsibility to fix it. Some things can't be fixed quickly. It's just day by day, getting better. Once you hit rock bottom, you never want to go back." Tess gave Darley a weak smile. "And trust me, I know. If it wasn't for Mrs. Potts.. Well I probably wouldn't be here," Tess said, tears flowing down her face.

Tess looked at Darley. "Don't hate the past. You can't change it. Focus on the present, as it is a gift," she advised. She hesitated, then began to speak. "It was that I didn't want to burden you with my issues, not that I didn't want to tell you. Oh,how I wanted to just say it. I don't need help anymore, that storm is over," Tess said with a genuine smile. "I.. I truly am happy here. I feel like mom and dad sending us here wasn't such a bad thing. And it's not just because I met him," Tess added, laughing.
Tess moved her glasses, wiping her eyes. "Gosh I hate crying," she said with a smile. "We need to talk more often. Maybe sometime soon we can just do something fun together or just talk?" Tess suggested, then an idea popped into her head. "Do you know what we haven't done in forever?" Tess asked with a mischievous smile on her face.

"I'm glad I'm happy too," Tess laughed. "And I'm glad you like it here," she said honestly. Tess rolled her eyes. "I thought you'd find out sooner or later," she said, smiling.
"No, we can't," Tess agreed. "Well we having gone pranking together in years," she said, smiling mischievously.
"No, we can't," Tess agreed. "Well we having gone pranking together in years," she said, smiling mischievously.
Tess mirrored Darley's grin. "Double trouble," she said happily, in the mood to go pranking. She sighed. "Do I have to?" Tess asked, knowing she probably would make her. "Well he knows something about me that not even you know," Tess said, smirking. She knew that would bug Darley.
Tess giggled. "It doesn't seem like we just met," she confessed. "We talked for a long time."
"Yes, I'm so horrible to you. That's why I brought you some chocolate in my bag. Your favorite too. I guess since I'm such a traitor that I'll have to eat it myself!" she taunted, a smirk on her face.

Tess grabbed her king sized kit kat out of her bag and dangled it in front of her sister, grinning. "He knows I play an instrument besides piano."
"Well, and he knows I used to sneak out like every night, but no big deal," Tess said, knowing Darley would think it was. "No pranks though. We agreed that we wouldn't prank each other when we were little. I still have that contract we wrote and signed about it," Tess grinned, remembering that it was when she was about six or seven years old.

Tess laughed as Darley grabbed the candy bar, too impatient to wait. She then proceeded to shove it in her face. "Well I snuck out to play. It's actually really fun," Tess grinned. "The piano was mom's decision. I just actually tried. But I actually chose this one," she said, being mysterious. She felt like messing with Darley. "I know you wouldn't."
"I know I am," Tess smirked, knowing she didn't mean it. "I know, that's why I do it. You know what I play? drums." She laughed. "Mom and dad would kill me if they knew," she smirked. "And no thanks," Tess said, turning down the Kit Kat.
"Yes, drums. What they would hate even more is who taught me," Tess said, grinning. "You see, I can be rebellious in my own way. But it's a silent rebellion," she told her sister. Tess blushed when Darley said she was proud. "Well it was either get a punching bag to get my anger out, or drums. I chose the later. It's really fun, just pounding to your hearts desire," Tess told her sister. "I'm actually surprised that mom or dad never found my sticks. I carry them in my bag, well, practically everywhere."
Tess laughed. "Well we weren't around each other all the time." She began to blush at the mention of her showing her sister. "Uh maybe."
Tess grinned. "Oh you'd never believe who it was that taught me. I didn't even know he played! Well, not until I saw him play at a party," she told Darley.
Tess grinned. "Oh you'd never believe who it was that taught me. I didn't even know he played! Well, not until I saw him play at a party," she told Darley.
"It is Chip. Mrs. Pott's son!" Tess told her, curious if Darley would be as stunned as she was when she learned that he played the drums. "And no, he's not my secret boyfriend," Tess laughed. "What's up with your sudden interest in my love life?" Tess asked curiously, an eyebrow raised.
"Me neither. I don't even know if his mother knows, now that I think of it!" Tess laughed. "Well considering who our parents are, I wasn't positive my love life would even start until I was at least twenty five. Or at least, that's how dad would like it to be," Tess said calmly.
"Oh the boy, huh? Well the last thing I would tell you is a name, Lee. Then you'd go torture the poor boy," Tess pointed out, knowing her sister.

"And no embarrassing stories!" she added. "Promise?" Tess asked. "You can't bug him, and absolutely no embarrassing stories. Okay?" Tess waited patiently for Darley to respond.
"Darley, you know how embarrassing my embarrassing stories are. It's like three fourths of my life- clumsiness, slip ups, the complete opposite of graceful, or just plain stupid mistakes. It is not a law," Tess glared at her sister. "I just won't tell you who he is," she concluded.
"Promise?" Tess asked, clarifying. "You can tell some, with permission," she finally caved. "Have you met any of your roommates yet?" Tess wondered aloud.
"Miles. His mother and father are Jane Porter and Tarzan," Tess told her. "And you know how uncomfortable our parents will be to figure out he's not royal," Tess said, rolling her eyes.
"Ah well my cabin is full. I honestly don't want to be in there- I'd rather be here," Tess admited.
"Ah well my cabin is full. I honestly don't want to be in there- I'd rather be here," Tess admited.
"Yes, Miles," Tess said, rolling her eyes. "I hope they don't even find out about him. Gosh, imagine how it would be," Tess said, a bit horrified. She didn't like the idea of him meeting her parents. Ever.
Tess snorted. "Why should that matter? Dad was a bit desperate- he wasn't going to be really picky. They tend to enjoy living how they want things to be, through us. Don't know if you've noticed that. Like dad- he had never learned piano, so he started having a teacher come give me lessons."

"True," Tess said, thinking. "I just don't want dad to rub him the wrong way. Gosh are we seriously talking about this?" she said, laughing. "We hung out once! And all we did was hold hands," she giggled.
Tess raised an eyebrow in surprise. "You didn't know that?" she asked, puzzled. "He told me after I had been taking piano for a few years."
Tess raised an eyebrow in surprise. "You didn't know that?" she asked, puzzled. "He told me after I had been taking piano for a few years."
Tess grinned. "It wasn't that fast," she said, blushing. "I kinda started it," she admitted, still grinning. Tess rolled her eyes. "Lee, you worry too much. And that's coming from me. And, yes, I'll be careful mom," she teased.
"Oh well," Tess shrugged.
"Oh well," Tess shrugged.
"Yes, but I'm still older," she gloated. "And I believe it's the big sister's job occupation to be snoopy," she pointed out. Tess grinned. "He was a bit shocked- he grinned ridiculously wide, obviously a bit happy," she shared.
((Sure!))
"Well you'll have to deal with me being born first," Tess stuck her tongue out at Darley. She grinned, and replied, "He's awkward yet a huge flirt, it's hilarious. And he plays guitar. And he has a freaking British accent!" Tess told her, grinning like an idiot.

Davina entered her cabin, expecting to empty. She had a long day, and just wanted to lie on her bed, and talk to Cam on the phone. Instead she found to girls there, chatting away. She ignored them and went straight to her bed.Davina pulled out her phone, and checked it. There were no new messages, but she had gotten at least ten Facebook notices. She scrolled through it, hardly liking anything.
"Well we only just met," she pointed out, not wanting to get too ahead of herself. Tess laughed. "Oh who says I need your approval?" she asked, grinning. She crossed her eyes and stuck her tongue out, feeling like being a bit goofy.
Davina looked up from her bed. One 9f two girls must be her roommate Darley, and other she didn't know about. She could tell they had said something about her, but she ignored it. She wasn't going to bother starting up a conversation with them, because she didn't want to. If they thought she was rude that was their problem. Davina decided to finish unpacking. She had started not long ago, but had gotten carried away with other things. At the end of her bed was a dresser and a shelf, where her things were supposed to go. She pulled her suitcase and other bag from under the bag, and set them on her bed. Then she started onloading her clothes and other possessions into her dresser and on her shelf. When she was finished she put her. luggage back under her bed, and plopped back onto her bed.
Davina became quite bored sitting by herself scrolling through her phone, so she decided to join in on the girls conversation. But she was going to make a little more intresting. "Hi, I'm Vina." She said.
"Be nice," she mouthed seriously to her sister. She turned around in the direction of the girl. "Hello," Tess said calmly. ""I'm Tess. Nice to meet you, Vina," she said, smiling at the girl. "Oh and this is my sister, Darley. She can be a bit of a pain, between you and me," Tess whispered, pretending like her sister couldn't hear.
Tess rolled her eyes. "Well you can be. Doesn't mean you are all the time," she pointed out. "Oh and I'm just visiting," she added, speaking to Vina. "Although you might see me in here often."
"I can play nice too." Davina thought to herself. It would be fun to see how far she could go. It was exhilarating to lie, and act like someone else. To Vina it was a sort of game, to see how good she was. "It's nice to meet you guys. Sorry I seemed rude earlier, it just looked like you guys were having a private conversation, so I didn't want to interrupt." She said in a sickeningly sweet tone and flashed a friendly little smile. Would they believe her impeccable acting?
"She's lying. Be careful around her," Tess whispered in her sisters ear, almost inaudible to even Darley.
"Sorry, sister stuff," Tess explain with a smile put on, as if to show Vina that she didn't know what was really going on. "And it's fine- we were just talking. Nothing very important," she added.
Tess seemed to almost have a sixth sense, being able to tell when people were lying. (When in reality it's because of the magic she possesses genetically.)

Davina almost laughed at the way the two girls squirmed when she spoke. She knew exactly what they were talking about, she could read body language as easy as a children's book. You can't lie to an expert liar, just like you can't outsmart a genius. "Look, I know you know I'm faking it. So let's just cut it out." Davina said curious of what there reaction would be.((I honestly have no idea what I'm doing with character. But it's kind of fun to do her because she's completely opposite of me))
Tess laughed. "There's really no use in lying to me. It's like a sixth sense," she admitted, shrugging. "So.. if you're not this nice, apologetic girl, then who are you?" she asked, getting right to the point. "But first things first, who is your parent?" Tess asked, expecting someone villainous.
"You really think I'm going to tell you yet?" Davina laughed lightly. "I'm sure your parents are innocent as a roses." She said. She tried to think of every character from a famous tale who was sickeningly sweet. Maybe Snow White and Prince Charming, maybe Belle and Adam, maybe Aurora and Prince Phillip, the possibilities were endless. That was the one thing Davina actually enjoyed about her mother, she wasn't some weak little damsel in distress, but a strong and bright women.(view spoiler)["br"]>["br"]>
Tess laughed. "Well mom can be tough as thorns when she wants to," she pointed out. "But dad is by far the thorn," she added. "Funnily enough, that's my middle name," she laughed, then immediately frowned. "I wonder why they named me that.." she wondered aloud, genuinely curious and a bit suspicious. 'Now why would mom and dad name me after a rose- the symbol of that dreadful curse?' she asked herself mentally, a bit unsettled by the thought.
"Well it sounds like you got a perfect little family." Davina said sarcasticly. She was sure the girls were trying to think of who her parents were, most likely without much luck. She had already decided on who she thought their parents were, no question. "So what do you like to do for fun?" Davina questioned.
"Perfect family? Far from it," Tess said, rolling her eyes. "Every family is screwed up. Some more than others though," Tess told Vina. "Oh our hobbies are so different it's hilarious," she said, a smile on her face. A look of realization popped onto Tess's face, and she exchanged a look with her sister as if to tell Darley that she knew who Vina's parents were. A smirk grew on her face.
"Well guessing from the look on your face you probably already know, or at least you think you know." Davina responded back to her. She yawned, getting quite bored with the conversation.
"Well who else has that hair? A bit of a dead giveaway, if you ask me," Tess told her. "It's obviously Merida, although I wasn't sure she even had children until now."
"Well aren't you a good little investigator. Though you are getting a little sloppy, because I could easily been Ariel or Hercules's daughter. But you are right, so there's no point in lying." Davina gave a fake little smile, and rolled her eyes.
Tess laughed. "Well considering I know Hercules's daughter and know that she doesn't have a sister, and I know Ariel's hair isn't the right shade as yours, I say I wasn't sloppy," she told Vina. "And besides, there really isn't any point in lying to me."
