Mythical Haven discussion

Aiden walked in and then took a look around. He sighed. He would never ever get why he came here day after day. It was like he was setting himself up to die or something. He huffed again and then slung his bag over his shoulder and started to walk to class.

Phoenix, often called Phee by those who she associated with and let them call her that, raced through the halls, effortlessly twisting her body to avoid hitting anyone. She was searching for a figure, and finally found what, or more specifically who, she was looking for. Aiden. The blond hair stood out, and she dashed towards the Wizard. One of her close friends, she having only two. Dimitri and Aiden. She had a lot of friends, but not close ones. D and Aiden were her best friends. She skidded to a stop and started walking next to Aiden, her own backpack hanging off her shoulder, her hair having flown around her head now settling to flow down her back. She smiled up at the taller boy, and started talking. Like normal. "So! D said I should be around the point of hormonal issues and he gave me The Talk yesterday, of course I did not know he knew that cuz, ya know, he is gay, of course he smacked me. Hard." She winced, then kept going." Anyways, have you had The Talk yet? It is uncomfortable. Oh! Have you seen the latest news on One Direction? Zayn quit. I am kinda slow on that cuz he quit some time ago or left or whatever they are saying. But ya know how I love Niall, so cute. Did you do the Chem HW we had? I did, took me ages. I hate Chem. Oh but I finished Math in a jiffy, that was quite easy. And ENglish was a breeze." She was second in her class, taking advanced classes. She never really gave her all except for in Math, where she was top in that class. She stopped talking, staring off into space as she walked next to Aiden. She smacked into a wall, and stood staring at it.

Aiden gave her a look. "What?" He asked, "I don't need to know of this stuff." He said a bit confused, "You okay?" He looked at her a little funny. He sighed again and then looked around. Was he going to be late to class? Maybe maybe not. Not that he wanted to go either way. He really sucked at everything. He didn't grasp a thing the teacher said yet they made it sound so easy. It was like what he heard was different that what everyone else heard. He wasn't deaf, he knew that, but he felt like it. And then in reading, well he knew how to read, but again, he didn't get most of the stories. Most people got lost in the story whereas he just got lost. The only thing that gave him comfort was being able to go home and practice with his powers. He wasn't really good at them yet, but he was learning. He hoped one day he would be one of the best. He wished that his dream would happen sooner. He looked at her again and then shook his head. The poor wall. Oh yeah and then there was her. He laughed lightly, "Why are you hurting the wall?" He asked her softly. "Aww look at it, your hurt its feelings. Say sorry right now." He smiled a bit and then checked his watch. Yeah he was going to be late, but who cares? He didn't. He cared about alot of things, but his grades.... No not really

Phoenix blinked and patted the wall, "Sorry wall." She then started walking again. "You know me, talkative." She was, she normally chatted up a storm if she was comfortable, upset, sad, confused, whatever. The only time she was silent was when she was angry. And you knew she was angry. Her stripes on her face would show, and she would exude a fierce aura, filled with agression. Right now she was happy. She skipped lightly. "Okay, so first is English class, we have the same schedule everyday, dunno why I am stating that. Anyways, why Canterbury Tales. I hate this book." She tripped over nothing, righted herself, and kept going. She was a clumsy girl. Except when fighting.

Aiden eyed her, "Right foot them left foot, can you do that for me?" He asked her as he walked. The hallways were mostly empty which meant that they were probably the only two people to be late. His English teacher. Oh how he hated his English teacher. He wasn't sure if he was a vampire of what, but he seriously creeped Aiden out. "I hate books in general." He said. They always made him feel dumb. He always had to re-read the book at least two times before he fully got what they were talking about, and even then sometimes he made stupid mistakes. He used to think he was half blind or something, but that wasn't it. No he was just dumb. He learned to live with that fact, yet it was point out to him for eight hours for five days a week so it was pretty hard to be okay with it. He used to be teased but not he just ignored most people. He let out a deep sigh as they reached the English room. He didn't want to go in. Was it too late to turn around and make a run for it? Yeah probably, "Ladies first." He crooned as he opened the door for her.

Phoenix laughed at Aiden and smiled, then entered the room. She walked to her seat in the back, and sat down. She ignored everybody in favor of getting her hw out and the book they were reading, Canterbury Tales. She hated the book. She still was second in this class, in grades, but she still hated it. She was natutally smart as much as she was naturally a clutz most of the time.

Aiden sat next to Phoenix and sighed as he got out the book. It also didn't help that she was so smart. No matter how hard he tried the words never hit him. Maybe thats why he wanted to be the best Wizard. To know that he was good at something. So that way when everyone was making fun of him because he couldn't get any of that school stuff, he would at least know he was a good Wizard. Sadly, until that day comes, hello book and goodbye dreams.

Phoenix knew of Aidens 'have to be a good wizard' and understood somewhat of what he was going through but of course not all. She helped him as much as she could whenever he never got something, and he was smart. Everyone was in their own ways. She sighed as the class started, and doodled on a pad of paper she always brought with her. She started drawing Aiden, eyes glancing at him every so often, calculating his features she knew by heart but checked anyways.

Aiden was trying to read but gave up after about... Say... Three seconds. He shook his head. Why did school have to be so hard? He missed coloring and whatever it is that you do without thinking. He looked at Pheonix and then frowned, "What are you doing?" He asked softly so the teacher couldn't hear him. He didn't want to get her (or himself) in trouble. That would be just great. It looked like she was drawing.

Phoenix laughed silently and showed him after a few seconds. It was him, in shades of grey. She smiled and then finished. She spoke quietly. "So what do you think the teacher is? I still cant smell him correctly. He just smells wrong." She scrunched her nose up.

"I have no idea. Like a Vampire or something." He shrugged and then smiled, "That is a really good drawing. I had no idea I was so good looking." He chuckled and then went back to looking at the book with disgust. It was so annoying! He bit his lip and reread the chapter he head been reading. It seemed like he got it so then he moved on. This is why it took him so long to read one book.

Phoenix rolled her eyes at the comment, and handed her hw in when asked. Finally the class was over. She got up, packed and waited for Aiden. "Hm, maybe. Or demon. Would make sense as all demons have that wrong sense. A vamp is kinda like a demon in a way but still. No soul." She giggled.

Aiden didn't do his homework so he just smiled and rushed out if the room. "Demon?" He scowled at the thought. "He creeps me out. Its like he doesn't blink ir something." He shuddered and then looked at her, "Whats the bext class? I mean not that I care just wondering." He shrugged and the slung his bag over his shoulder.

Phoenix laughed heartily, and pat his back. "Yeah it creeps me out as well. And next class, MATH!" She pumped her fist up into the air, cheering in her head. She loved math! Her fav class. "AFter that, Chem..." She glowered and crossed her arms.

"I suck at them all so whatever. Doesn't matter." He wanted to go home or something. Only... Six more hours of this. He was going to die! Yep that was it. Phoenix would be walking next to him and then he would just die. He scowled. Then he would be a ghost and haunt her because she was the reason he stayed in school. Yep thats how it was going to go down.

Phoenix blinked and slapped his head. "Yeah, well I suck at walking correctly so deal." She brightened. "What are you thinking so deeply about?" She looked around. Not a lot of people..." hey! Wanna skip?"

after the encounter with the fairy, the centaur, and the lamia, I head to maths.

He stopped walking and looked at his friend, "Yay! I'm not going to die today!" He grinned and then put his bag down. It was heavy! He sighed as he looked at her, "I am thinking about dying. Yeah I am probably going to die. It was nice knowing you. Your a great friend. This is the end for me."

Phoenix shook her head, and picked up his bag, and started walking out of the school. "Come on drastic persuasive butthole, we are going somewhere where you can lighten up." She smirked. "And not die. I dont want your ghost near my Cat." She smiled nicely.

i creep up behind a couple who are skipping, and clamber up one of them, and perch on his shoulder. "nice day today, isn't it?"

Aiden yelped and then smacked the thing off his shoulder. "Yeah okay... I hate lizards!" He shuddered and then looked at Phoenix, "Your cat doesn't like me so I would like... Haunt it or something..." He shrugged.

i get knocked off of his shoulder, and chuckle. "and i hate people who hate lizards!"

Phoenix blinked at the thing and soffed at Aiden. "More exact, it is obviously a Salamander." She then smiled sweetly at Aiden. "And my cat would bite you like usual." She laughed at this, as whenever Aiden visited her, the cat would bite Aiden once, then do whatever she was doing before.

"so... how bad did i ruin your moment?"

Aiden looked at the salamander and then picked it up and put it on her head, "Okay well feed it to your cat. Tell it that its food from me." He laughed. He knew that the salamander would kill it. At least that was one less job that he had to do. "Your cat... Die..."

"i've already nearly been food thanks to a goddamned lamia."

Aiden frowned, "Lamia? Hm..." He frowned. He only knew one lamia in all of the Haven and she was not very nice

"yeah, know her?"

"I know one. Her name is Clare...." He yrailed off. He always felt guilty when he said her name so he barely used it.

"does she usually try to fight people?"

"No... Just eat them,bite them, or kill them... Maybe suck the life out of them..." He sighed.

"well, at first, numero uno, then she nearly attempted no. 3."

Aiden laughed, but then covered it up with a cough. He really wanted to be going before they noticed they were late but whatever. "Sounds like Clare."

i start walking to maths. "see you later then!"

Aiden rolled his eyes. "Adios."

"and to you, mi amigo!"
