"Nope don't think you've forgotten anything let's be quick and get out of here" He said following her also looking around
"I think the name suits her perfectly" He said smiling he looked around "I think we should get out of here before a salamander comes"
((I have another rp going on there right now though it's still on pause))"Hmm I don't know how about we go to butterfly valley instead we could relax more and you could start training your new friend there" he said smiling while he indicated emerald
Leono was flying quickly, dodging several attacks from three Salamanders who were attacking him for entering their territory. He panted as he flew, then felt pain in his back. A Salamander had slashed him from behind, and he began to fall from the sky.
Hikaru flew through the air at a slow pace. He looked around cautiously for any Salamanders that might be around. They never liked it when an outsider crossed through their territory. Hikaru suddenly tilted his head, hearing a battle somewhere near by. He spun around in the air, looking for the source. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted three Salamanders attacking someone else, who was seemingly falling. He made a quick decision and flew over to help as fast as he could. He caught the falling player by the foot and struggled to hold him. He felt the weight of the sword on his back and wanted to draw it for protection as the Salamanders turned to him, but he knew he couldn't.
Leono looked up to see an Undine holding him up, and he immediately let his wings carry him again. He flew over to the Salamanders and drew his katana, going through the guards easily. Once they were defeated, he breathed heavily, looking at Hikaru, "Thanks for catching me," he said with a bright smile. "They would've killed me for sure while I was falling if you hadn't of caught me."
"Oh...um..." Hikaru gave him a small smile back. "No problem." he wondered what the other boy was doing in Salamander territory, other than the obvious, which was going for the world tree. By the looks of it, the other boy seemed like a Cait Sith. Hikaru started to notice that he was about to run out of power to fly. He didn't realize how long he had been flying for, and he was pretty high off the ground. He made a mental note to land soon.
"So what's your name? I'm Leono," he said, then looked around, making sure there were no other Salamanders nearby. Once hr was sure there weren't, he looked back at Hikaru, "Are you busy? If not, do you want to land and go on foot for now?"
"I'm Hikaru." He said, introducing himself. "And I can go on foot with you." After looking at Leono for a moment, he slowly began to descend down to the ground below them. He looked up at Leono. "What are you in the Salamander territory for, anyway?" He asked. "Just to try to get to the world tree? Or something else?" As he was a few feet off the ground, he suddenly fell, his wings failing him. Luckily, he landed on his feet. He breathed a sigh of relief.
"Oh, I was seeing if my friend was here. She's a Leprechaun, and works in Salamander territory as a blacksmith." He then landed, then winced as he looked at the time, "I have to go in about two hours. I have a treatment session."
"Oh. Um...what's a treatment session?" Hikaru asked him. He'd never heard of that. Then he frowned when he looked at Leono, who looked much taller than he was. Even the game seemed to want to make fun of his height. When he first began playing, it made him as short as he was in the real world, and to say the least, it was disappointing. It was confusing, though. The game made him look almost exactly like he did in the real world.
"Oh, I have lung cancer, so I get chemotherapy at the local hospital in Tokyo. I call them treatment sessions, though," he chuckled, "Kinda lame, right?" He looked at Hikaru, then smiled, "You're really short, it's cute."
Hikaru felt many emotions flare up at once. First, sadness, because his new...friend? Was that the right word? They had just met after all. Then anger, at the short comment. Then he felt a blush creep onto his cheeks. "I-I..." He stuttered. "Sorry." He finished.Way to make it awkward, idiot. He thought to himself.
Leono looked away and smiled, "No, I shouldn't have called you short, sorry about that..." He then winced, closing his eyes, "I wonder if my body is in pain...I can never tell when I play these games..."
Hikaru frowned then grabbed Leono's arm. He dragged him onto a nearby pathway. "So, where are we going?" He asked him, hoping to take his mind off of the current subject. "You said you were seeing for a friend, right?" whenever he went into the game, he tried to forget about the real world and just focus on the joy in this one.
Leono blinked when Hikaru grabbed his arm, then winced as he was dragged. "Y-yeah, I was..." He thought for a moment, "She should be in Gadan at her shop. Her name is Mimi," he said, then chuckled, "She's a friend from a long time ago."
Hikaru nodded and muttered an apology, not realizing how hard he might have pulled the other boy. He crossed his arms. "Alright." He gave Leono a soft smile. "Lead the way, then." Hikaru rarely came into the Salamander's territory, so he didn't really know where anything was.
Leono led the way, eventually stopping in front of a small shop, then walked inside, "Mimi! It Leo!" He called, looked ng around for a short girl.
Hikaru peeked inside and hesitantly stepped inside of the building. He wondered what Mimi was like. Leono seemed to like her. He vaguely remembered something about her being a Leprechaun. He stayed silent and stood behind Leono. His eyes swept across the room as he took in every little detail.
Leono was suddenly tackledby a short girl with red hair, and she smiled, "Leo!" She said happily. She then looked at Hikaru, walking over and looking up at him since she was shorter. "Did you make a new friend?" She asked.Leo nodded, "That's Hikaru. He saved me from being killed by some Salamanders earlier."
Mimi smiled, grabbing Hikaru's hands, "Oh! Thanks so much for helping Leo!"
"Uh- no problem." He said, assuming that the girl must be Mimi. Mimi seemed to be full of energy, something he sees in his sister everyday. He looked over at Leono then back at Mimi. He looked on the bright side of things. At least he was taller than someone.
Leono chuckled as he stood beside Hikaru, putting a hand on his shoulder, then winced, feeling a dull pain in his chest. He closed his eyes and clenched his teeth, "I-I gotta go, guys...my chest is hurting..." He smiled a bit before he opened his menu.Mimi frowned and looked at Leo, "Should I come over later?" She asked, then looked at Hikaru. "You can come too, if you want. I can give you Leo's address."
He quickly glanced at Leono in concern. "S-Sure. If that's alright with him." He wondered if they even lived in the same area, but that didn't seem to matter right now. Hikaru would probably come even if they did. He wanted to make sure his new friend was alright.
Leo smiled at Hikaru, "That's fine with me...but I have to go, but I'll be home," he said, then logged off.Mimi sighed, "He's been like this for 4 years...I don't know how much longer he has, but its probably not long...the doctors can't even tell if he'll make it through this..." She frowned, tears coming to her eyes.
Hikaru swallowed his emotions and stood up straight. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go see him." He said. "What's his address?"
Once Mimi gave Hikaru Leo's address, she logged off, leaving Hikaru alone until he logged off. Meanwhile Leo was laying in his bed at home, sitting up and putting his glasses on before he got to his feet and and walked into the kitchen.
((Should we go onto a different topic??))Hikaru memorized the address, repeating it in his mind a few times. He swept his left hand down in front of him and a small screen popped up. He pressed the logout button and the virtual world in front of him went black.
Hikaru slowly opened his eyes as he adjusted to the real world. He quickly stood from his bed and repeated the address in his mind again. It was pretty close to where he lived. He opened his bedroom door to the hallway, almost running into his sister. Without saying a word to her he raced out of his house after slipping on his shoes and grabbing a jacket. As he left, his sister gave him a confused look, wondering where her brother was off to.
