Before coming to CHB, Kaia was an actress. Despite coming from Hollywood (and being a child of Aphrodite), she is a down-to-earth kind of girl who believes that everyone is beautiful in their own way. Being a daughter of Aphrodite, she can also be quite vain sometimes and although she won't say it out loud, she thinks that looks are most important and personality is second in terms of beauty. She has the ability to Charmspeak, but rarely uses it after she learned to control it. She's kind and sweet, to everyone she meets and is a loyal and true friend.

When Kaia was born, she was born to a loving and caring father. He vowed to protect her for as long as he could, but fearing he couldn't do it himself, he remarried. Kaia's stepmom was a kind woman as well and knew about Kaia being a demigod (if a bit skeptical). Despite knowing Elizabeth as her stepmom, she loved her just as she would her own mom. As Kaia grew into an adorable toddler, her father began to read Greek Mythology as bedtime stories.
Kaia's path to fame started when she was only 5 years old. Her father and her stepmom entered her in a beauty pageant. Being the daughter of Aphrodite, she was a shoe-in. Shortly after her win, she was lucky enough to be contacted by an agent who had seen her at the pageant. She was then given roles in popular T.V. shows and was even in the occasional movie. Despite always having the spotlight on her, she remained down-to-earth, loving her family and co-stars and always reminding girls that everyone is beautiful, just in their own way. However, the spotlight didn't throw off the plans her father had made. On her 11th birthday, he told her all about her real mother and demanded that she be sent to Camp Half-blood, all the way across the US. Kaia was quite upset about this, but despite always getting what she wanted, she couldn't get her father to budge. So she went to CHB where she was claimed as a child of Aphrodite. She travels home every other summer, or whenever her dad has the money.

Abby has been through quite a lot. However, she still tries to be an optimist, always looking for the bright side. Abby's father had been through a tough breakup and left with a kid before Iris made an appearance in his life. Soon, he was a lot happier, but now had two kids to take care of. One of which would grow to attract monsters. Being a very caring man, he wanted to shield Abby from everything related to the Greek Gods and their demigods. While Abby struggled in school, she always came home to her loving father and sister. While she was content for a while, she soon grew restless staying in boring old Tennessee. Being a child of a lesser-known goddess has kept her hidden longer than most demigods, but as she approached her 14th birthday she begun seeing monsters through the mist, following her around. Although she talked to her father about it, he dismissed it entirely and told her not to worry about it. But when she arrived home one day, she found her house broken into, and her sister lying dead on the floor. Her father lay next to her sister, but was able to tell her the location of CHB before he died. His last words were "be safe". While it took a grueling two weeks for her to get to Camp, during which she feel into a slight depression, she finally arrived at camp, was claimed by her mom and began to heal.

Even in the summer and spring months, Lily is quite a recluse. She will only speak when spoken to and while she spends a lot of time out in the sun, she spends it by herself, humming and growing flowers. In the Winter and Fall months, she mainly stays locked in her cabin, only going out to eat or if Chiron personally gets her to be there. She rarely talks to anyone, even if she's asked a question and is usually in a fairly grumpy and pessimistic when spoken to. Her depression really takes it's toll and she looks sullen and empty inside, despite looking healthy and active in the Summer and Spring months.

When Lily was born, her father did not want the responsibility of a child. And so, she was entered into the foster system when she was very young. As she grew up, she knew she was different from the other children and barely talked to anyone. It didn't help that her mood seemed to always change with the weather. One family even took her to the doctor, where she was officially diagnosed with bipolar disorder. As she got older, she began to resent the foster care system and her father for not caring for her and became quite rebellious. However, that rebellion quickly turned into depression. While she seemed to be able to fight her depression in the Summer and spring months, she was essentially a recluse in the Winter and Fall months. She was on her 13th foster home when she finally met a friend who seemed to understand her. Later, he revealed to her as a satyr and explained about her heritage. She agreed to come to CHB simply because she wanted out of the Foster care system. While she's getting better at controlling her emotions and depression, she still has a long way to go.

Valerie grew up knowing and learning about her abilities and myths, thanks her her Greek geek father. When she was ten, her father moved them from their home in Michigan to an apartment in New York. Her father then sent her to CHB when she was twelve. Although she didn't want to go at first, she wanted to make her dad happy. She ended up enjoying her time there and when the summer ended, she went back to live with her father and attend school. Unfortunately, when she came home from school one day, she found that a monster had tracked them. Caught by surprise, she was barely able to defeat the monster. She wasn't surprised that a quick search of the ruined apartment confirmed that her father was dead, but she still cried over it and stayed by his side until she heard the sound of sirens. She quickly packed up her stuff and headed back to camp where her injuries healed and she never talked about what happened that day.

Matt is a friendly, cheery person, as most Apollo children are. He seems to always be constantly moving and is very spontaneous, never really putting much thought into his actions. Matt often times holds himself aloof from people, making friends, but never really getting emotionally attached to them. He tries his best to be empathetic to others, but is not very good at it. He's always cracking jokes and filling empty silences, as he's constantly afraid someone will get too close to him and realize that he "killed" his sister. Matt has a nervous habit of running his hand through his hair when people start asking him questions and has become very good at dodging questions. He's quite competitive, but takes his wins and losses gracefully. He has a strong will and good heart, and although he doesn't act it all the time, he is a very thoughtful person.

Matt's mother provided the best life she could for him although she could never seem to hold down a job. Matt missed his mother since she was working all the time, but still appreciated her work and was always trying to help her out around the house. When his mother remarried, Matt thought his life would turn around, that he could see more of his mother and maybe even get some siblings. However his stepdad was distant and left when his mother announced she was pregnant. Matt was angry at him, but the anger melted away when he looked at his new sister. He was ten years older than her, and took very good care of her while his mother went back to try to hold down a job. One day, a few days before Ava's 5th birthday, Matt's stepfather and Ava's father came back to them, begging for them to help him. Matt reluctantly let him in and he crashed on the couch before Matt could ask him any questions. Matt took Ava to the beach to get out of the house and away from his stepfather. Unfortunately, a big, unexpected storm blew in and separated Matt from Ava while he was teaching her how to swim. Ava sunk below the waves and Matt was about to jump in himself when one of his friends from school intervened and revealed himself for what he was, a satyr. Matt was so distraught about Ava's death, he immediately went to Camp with his satyr friend. While he was quiet when he first arrived at camp, he eventually became all happy-go-lucky and refused to talk, or even think, about Ava's death. He also refuses to talk to his mother.
