Never Too Old For Y.A. & N.A. Books discussion

This series started out SO GOOD! Now onto book 2!

I'm starting on Sunday like Dominique. At least that is the plan :-)

Me too Melissa :) I should be finished with the one I'm reading now.

Well, I will be reading more than that one but I should be at three counting that one if I keep it down to a manageable level :-)

LOL! I'm going to try and not read more than 2 at the same time because I get so caught up in the story that I can't put it down so I ignore the second book most of the time hahaha! So most times I just plow through 1 book at a time but 2 is the most I'll attempt at once. Kudos to you for juggling so many at the same time my love :)

I can't wait for you guys to start! I'm halfway through and am having all sorts of emotions that I need to get out lol!

I get so stressed to read everything with everyone and my Arcs and... It never ends. I will get it sorted out :-)

Oh wow Kristen, you're leaving us way way behind :P I need to finish the book I'm reading now so I can start this one as soon as possible! I'm super excited!!! I might be able to start it late tomorrow :)

I only started early bc I finished last on the first one. I've been on maternity leave for 4 months and just went back to work so I know my time is going to be more limited now lol. Not trying to rush anyone, just didn't want everyone to have to wait for me again! And Belkis, you read the first one in like 2 days!! :D

Oh congratulations Kristen on your baby! Is it your first? They're the best :) and no worries ever about rushing or stressing over buddy reads and the pacing okay sweetie? Whenever we finish is fine, if we take more or less time, is all good, it's all good LOL!

Oh I know, I don't ever stress about reading I just get so sucked in that I NEED to finish lol. And thank you! He is actually my second but they are 9 yrs apart, both boys :D it's amazing!

Well we will just keep reading them as we go along. I will probably lag behind because I'm reading a few at a time. But it's all good. And Dominique is supposed to join too :)

Just read the first chapter and that stupid Gillian and Micah are first thing. I can't stand them !!

Ok I just finished chapter 2. Han and Dancer. Yay. I felt sorry for the little boy on the road. And then craziness ensues.

Will try to read more later. Have a splitting headache and my Advil didn't work!

Omg yes! Chapter 2 was awesome!!! Han & Dancer totally kicked butt LOL! Loved it. And the first chapter really showed Michah's true colors. He's evil alright.

And now the drama going on in chapter 3. Way to go Raisa & Amon!

I just finished chapter 3!! OMG! It was awesome! I loved the way Raisa and Amon were training. I used to do training similiar to that. And I agree! Those two rock :-)

Raisa is really becoming a Warrior Queen and she doesn't even know it!!

This so good!! I love how it has a Harry Potter kind of feeling :) I LOVE HP! And this with all the magic and the friends, and the good wizards kids, the bad wizards, and the amulets, the houses, the training, OMG loving it! They all ended up in the same school!!!

I kinda thought the same thing. Not sure how far you are but I really love this book! I feel like Raisa went from a spoiled little girl, to being really humbled. I think she's really dedicated and proved herself and I like her character much more than I did before

I feel the same way. I'm just at where they are all in the same school. I'm having issues reading so many at once. But this book makes me feel... Oh I can't explain it, like I'm list in a magical land. It is like Harry Potter and Merlin and oh so many things!!

Raisa had completely blown me away. She is awesome now. She went from an annoying brat to a fierce girl that I think will make a great queen!

Yes! I love that she's doing all her own chores and learning how to fight with everyone else at the school :)

Poor Han, those Bayars are awful!

And OMG the school Dean! I don't know where each of you all are in the book so I don't want to give anything away. But holy smokes! This is getting so freaking awesome!

I stopped at chapter 12. I can stop looking until I get through if you all want to discuss it. I have been sick to my tummy all day trying to read all and keep up. :-( I won't read any more tonight. Going to read on Made You Up before bed.

I'm sooooo loving the book though.

I loved this book! Just finished. I want to know who Crow is!

I feel felt bad for Raisa and Amon in the book, but now I'm kinda hoping something will happen with Raisa and Han. I think they would make a force to be reckoned with!

I was really heartbroken for Amon and Raisa too. He's just such a good guy you can tell how much he loves her!! I agree though, the chemistry between Raisa and Han is unmistakable. I can only hope that he doesn't hold too much against her when he finds out who she is. Crow creeps me out to be honest. The fact that he can possess Han but doesn't have magical abilities is really perplexing. I'm really curious who he turns out to be. I don't like the dean either. Poor Han has to answer to all these people! I do love how Raisa is finally able to see things for what they really are. My only hope is that she is given a chance to change them.

I hope she does too. Han is getting it from all ends. I just hope he don't go over to the dark side. I wish he wouldn't trust the Crow person and I WANT to know who it is. I mean it could be an enemy. It could be that other girl, crap, what's her name, starts with an R. I mean who knows who it is. What if it's the Demon King in spirit form some how. That's a scary thought.

I was so torn up for Raisa & Amon too!! Poor guys :( that was so unfair. But like you said Melissa, I'm okay with Raisa & Han now :)

I know, I almost cried for them. But, then when Raisa and Han got together you could feel the spark, no pun intended :)

OMG I'm so ready for bad stuff to stop happening to Han already! Gah! It's like it comes at him from all ends! And WOW! Kat & Dancer!! I saw that one coming though LOL! The way Dancer just kept sort of leering at her and she kept acting like she couldn't stand him hahahaha! And then how Micah made Kat turn on Han! I can't stand those Bayars! They need to get what's coming to them already. I swear when Han fell down the stairs I was so angry! And OMG that creep Crow! Who the heck is he?? I'm dying to find out. He's a total poser trying to steal other wizard's powers. What a cheating weasel! I'm so upset over Amon and that girl he's "walking about" with, daring, whatever. Makes me so sad that he's just resigned to a life of duty,, you know?? Like, yeah I can be a good husband to her. She's from a family of military people, she understands the sacrifices, yada yada. Poor Amon and poor girl. Neither one deserves that. Amon needs to find someone he's falls madly in love with! He deserves that.
