Do you like shifter books? If so, my fave shifter series is the Phoenix Pack series starting with
. It is pretty light, hot, with some humor.
Katie MacAlister's
is pretty funny and light-hearted, IMHO. There are 4 books in that series, then it spins off into related ones, all about dragon shifters. I also laugh my (reappearing) booty off at Molly Harper's werewolf books. And lastly, if you like YA, try Sherrilyn Kenyon's
.
Gail Carriger's Parasol Protectorate series is just what the doctor ordered. Funny and never too serious. Also the audio books are charmingly read by Emily Gray. Hope you enjoy them!
Laughed until I about hurt myself reading
. The sequel is supposed to come out in a few months, too. Also loved
and anything by Molly Harper.
perfect book for u riiiight here!!
. i stumbled upon this book and it is so light and fun and yet intriguing! And i believe there is at least 4 books to the series..def worth checking out...warning, it is a crazy ride!! within the first few pages your eyes will be bulging out of your head and u will be laughing!
I love
series by Lexi George as well as the Dragon Kin books by G.A. Aiken (alter ego of Shelly Laurenston) :)
I like to recommend the Immortals After Dark series, by Kresley Cole. These books have been coming steadily for a number of years and are sometimes hysterically funny and always adventurous, romantic and sensual. They don't have to be read in order and each is a self-contained story.
Thank you guys so SO much! I've wrote down every suggestion and I'm thrilled to have a sizable list that won't run dry too soon. Some of you suggested a few of my personal favorites like the Charley Davidson series, the Chronicles of Nick an Molly Harper's books, and that reassures me that I'll probably love everything that was listed. A thousand thank yous!

Great! I hope you like it!
This is a great thread! Thanks for starting it. I've been in a similar mood and needed some light fun too so can appreciate this. One author who always snaps me out of it is Mary Janice Davidson. She gets pretty over the top but is always good for a laugh. I don't binge read her - just pick the next book in line when I need something completely off the wall funny. I also 2nd Katie MacAlister...Really looking forward to reading some of these great suggestions. I don't always need a ton of humor so some of these are going on my to-read shelf.
Highly recommendDiscount Armageddon
Ballroom dancing heroine with a wacky scientific family intent upon protecting the creatures/monsters from humans and themselvesTo Woo A Warrior
6.6ft warrior woman whose a failure at flirting. LOL dating rules invented by the H to win her heart.
Touched by an Alien
Kitty our h, stumbles into an alien conspiracy and steps up to help save the day with the aid of the gorgeous aliens.
Regina Shiderly is an author that always has me smiling. Her books were my first real intro into PNR romance/erotica. I'm finding that they are unique and different from the usual in this genre - less emphasis on the shifter storyline and more on the character and love development. All lighthearted, even the ones with a Serial killer if you can believe it! And they're shorter reads, so perfect for a pick-me-up too. Try this one for starters:
I fell in love with the unique story twists and fun characters....Carson is drool worthy!

I've been feeling a bit down lately and I'm looking for lighthearted and fun series to read, something with a feel good vibe. I'm not always good at picking those and the last one I tried started out fun but became intense and depressing. I'm hoping to avoid that next time so I turn to the endless knowledge and wisdom of the PNR group :)
I'm looking for multi-books series and if possible available in audiobook. Ideas?
