I am really looking forward to this. It's been on my radar for a long time, I just haven't had the push to read it.

Sounds cool, any chance you could add the book to the topic so it's easy for everyone to see what it refers to?
It would be nice also if people organizing buddy reads remember to add the book to this group's shelves in order to show the book on the group page and keep track of all books read here.I added this one this time.
Kandice, adding the book to the topic should be easy enough because when you create the topic there is a field asking you what book this topic refers to. You can put the title or be more specific and place the ISBN. I always use that option because there may be other books with similar or identical titles.
To add the book to the group's shelves you click 'Bookshelf' on the top right. I haven't done it in a while but I think you should need to put it in the 'Add book' box and choose what shelf you want. You can choose when the group will start reading it too, so it will automatically switch to currently-reading when that date arrives.

I just bought this book and will begin after work tonight. It looks very, very interesting with the added benefit of being short.
I'm currently moving, so I don't have much time for reading. I hope I'll be able to get to this book this week-end!
Nolan, I agree with your #1 spoiler completely. That simply does not make sense. They must have an endgame. (view spoiler)Nolan's spoiler #2 (view spoiler)
I finished and gotta say...I didn't love that. The blood donation comparison stayed with me the entire read and I think it was apt. The whole Donor Y fiasco reminded me of when AIDS first became a threat and the process for donating blood changed on it's ear. I was a sophomore in high school and was a regular volunteer at blood banks and plasma centers. This had that same feel.Nolan, it was not a satisfaction for us to be right about our hunch re: Storch. It also wasn't an original reveal. I think she could have come up with a clever way for them to be a-holes. This just wasn't good enough for me.
I also wanted an ending. Any ending. This was more like a ""I'm tired of writing this, so I'm going to stop." ending.
All in all a disappointment because I really have been wanting to read this for quite a while.
That’s what I took as the intention of the copious “blank spaces”, but it still kind fo ticked me off. My copy was $3.99, the book was supposedly 128 pages, but with all the blank spaces it was probably more like 75. I don’t think I am a horrid cheapskate, but I don’t like paying $4 for a lot of nothing.I was wondering if this was a problem only I experienced, but at the end of chapters I was unable to scroll to the next page. I had to pull up the “menu” and type in the next page number in the “go to” box. It was irritating. I’ve never experienced this on an ebook before. I tried rebooting, closing and opening the book, but nothing helped. Maybe I am spoiled.
I just finished this book, and read all your comments. I agree, the ending feels awfully flat.I am a bit disappointed because the idea is great. The insomnias, sleep donation and virus resonate with a lot of current issues. But the storyline is almost inexistant. The ending is very abrupt and not at all surprising. It feels like the story just suddenly stopped, without waiting for it to end. I quite liked the book until then.

Every point you bring up is one I had a problem with. Great idea, poor execution.
I have a kind of running list in my head of terrific plots that I wish better author's would have written. This makes the list.
