2015 Reading Challenge [Closed] discussion

Oh dear, I've fallen into complete lurkerdom for this challenge. I've been running a few books behind all summer, but finally caught up to the current week. Yay!

I chose this book because it was available in audio from my library, while the book I'd planned to read (Crystal Singer by Anne McCaffrey) is hiding somewhere in storage. This is my first Elizabeth Peters book. I'm about an hour into it and enjoying the author's light humor.

I don't know what I was expecting this book to be, but it wasn't the lighthearted mystery adventure story I got. A character describes the events in the book as a "caper," and that seems pretty fitting. It was a fun quick read, with some interesting characters. A nice break from the darker mysteries I seem to be reading lately.
