The Perks Of Being A Book Addict discussion

I just finished The Book of Speculation by Erika Swyler and I loved it! This was an awesome example of magical realism with a surprising choice of narrator. If anyone else has read/is reading this, what did you think?

Who was your favourite character? Mine was definitely Doyle. Such a well-done secondary character.

I loved this one for the atmosphere which didn't come as a surprise seeing as how much this one was compared to one of my other favorites, The Night Circus. The house on the ocean bluff was the perfect setting.

I guess I didn't have a "favorite" character, which I guess is my biggest criticism of this one. I honestly had some desire to slap some of the characters around a little (Enola especially). I will agree though, Doyle is a well done character.
