The Winner's Crime discussion

I just wanted to say that this book really hurts. The feels are tugging my heart strings and for a moment I felt really sad and oh gosh this BOOK. The last few chapters just escalated everything. It was only a few chapters, yet it was filling at the same time.

It made me so mad that Tensen didn't give Arin the letter. Yeah, he was looking out for her, but it honestly could've lessen the blow when the emperor found out. And when the emperor found out by Kestrel's FATHER??? The betrayal hurts. Tensen might be dead. And Verex can't help her. And at the last chapter where Arin drops her dagger into the sea as a symbolism thing? Oh shoooooooot. And when it's her BIRTHDAY and she's going to be a prisoner. And Arin doesn't know that she still loves her. Throughout the book I was really rooting for one special moment where Kestrel would say that she loves him, but sadly not. I can't wait until 2016 for the next book.

Slightly mad about Tensen.

Lol, I remember ranting about these exact same things when I finished the book. The whole novel I was literally screaming at Kestrel to tell Arin what was going on. And she never told him, and I nearly tossed the book. Lol. Very upset about Tensen's decision. If he showed Arin, then Kestrel could have some hope of being saved, and now… no one knows but those who hate her, and I'm sitting there tearing my hair out because these characters can be so selfish sometimes, lol. Anyways. I can't wait to see how it all straightens out in the next novel :P

There's a possibility that Deliah might end up going to Herran to tell Arin about new of Kestrel (the lies that the emperor fabricated abput the elopment, running to the South islands and Kestrel's supposed death). And then there's that Herrani person who Kestrel gave the moth to. He might even be able to describe her. I think there are a few ways that Arin can find out but the big problem the fact that he will be unable to help.

Anyway, I so get what you mean about the end. I was in a world of pain.

I feel you completely. The ending was a big wtf for me and I almost cried with the outcome. Also, after reading the blurb of the upcoming 'Winner's Kiss' ? I can't even. My heart won't handle it if Arin and Kestrel are not going to end up being endgame. Enough said. Oh well, I guess we just have to wait until Winner's Kiss comes out. Can I wait? Um...maybe?

I cant wait to get the winners kiss! The ending of the 2nd book was not enough closure! It is driving me insane!

omg im so angry that they dont just tell each other the truth because they could be together if they were just honest with each other and it kind of makes me mad at kerstel because she wants to put up this tough girl front but she doesnt realize how much more difficult she's making her life

I honestly think that I'm speaking for everyone right now in saying that KERSTEL AND ARIN NEED TO BE MORE HONEST AND OPEN WITH EACH OTHER. ughhhhh i just want them together

I cant wait to read winner's kiss. I need that book ASAP! Anyway, Im not too worried about Kestrel. I dont think she needs anyone to come and save her. You know why? Because she is so goddamn smart and cunning and she's probably gonna ban together all the prisoners at the work camp and they're gonna overtake the place. Right now Im just imagining that the work camp is gonna be full of Valorians, Dacrans and Herrans and I think they will be working with each other and helping each other to try and survive the work camp. At least thats my theory. Then Kestrel will take her new small army to go help out Arin.

I also have a crazy out there theory that Arins sister might be alive and possibly at the work camp. I dont think we ever got any closure as to whether she is definitely dead or not.

Anyone else have theories?

I just think that Kestrel needs to stop making lies, and Arin needs to keep an open mind
