Izzy Fry What book are you guys reading to escape reality?? I'm currently reading Shiver, which isn't really an escape since it takes place in Minnesota, but there is enough of a fantasy aspect to still distract me from the place I live!!

Alexis | 4 comments I live in Minnesota! I've never read Shiver but since it is in my home state it probably wouldn't feel like an escape to me xD. I'm currently reading Since You've Been Gone by Morgan Matson which is feeling like an adventure to me. I never do anything but watch netflix and sleep and in the book the main character, Emily, has a list of things to do that was left by her friend Sloane after she disappeared. I started it on July 28th and I am already after page 100, which usually takes a few weeks of reading a couple pages every few days. I never have motivation to read but this book is so good so far I just love it.

I am reading Instinct (Chronicles of Nick) but it isn't helping me escape too much. Hope the next book does.

message 4: by Izzy (new)

Izzy Fry Alex, that sounds really similar to paper towns! Glad you found a book you actually enjoy though!!

Smiling, that's too bad! Whats next on your reading list? Hopefully it has a better world for you to get lost in!

i'm reading ACOTAR and lol i'm still on the 2nd chapter.

message 6: by Izzy (new)

Izzy Fry I saw that one at the library yesterday and almost picked it up! You'll have to let me know what you think of it.

Saarah | 532 comments Mod
yeah, I heard really good stuff, and i'm into retellings, so hopefully it's great!

message 8: by Izzy (new)

Izzy Fry If you like retellings you should look into Crimson Bound by Rosamund Hodge. It's on my tbr list and I've heard it's a unique version of little red riding hood.

I actually got that one, but a lot of people said it was super similar to cruel beauty, and I read cruel beauty already.

message 10: by Izzy (new)

Izzy Fry Oh wow, so the same author basically wrote the same story twice? Plus the cover is almost identical. What did you think of Cruel Beauty?

message 11: by Saarah (new)

Saarah | 532 comments Mod
I actually though cruel beauty was pretty good. I gave it a five stars.

message 27: by SmilingDork (new)

SmilingDork | 521 comments Mod
Damn! I would love to go to Spain. I REALLY want to travel to Greece and Russia and Italy. Also Germany. I have received letters to go and travel some of these places with a program I was put into somehow. But I never got to ho because not enough money and mom got worried that something bad would happen. By now I gave up on going and those crushed dreams. Hopefully when I get older I will travel there.

Saarah | 532 comments Mod

We could become a group who travels the world called the traveling book nerds. ;P

message 38: by Ravanna Dee (new)

Ravanna Dee (ravannadee) Lol! That would be awesome! In five years. We should all meet up (name a place) then just travel for a whole summer all over the place. That's what me and my sister plan on doing, some time after we graduate, spend the whole summer traveling though Europe!

message 39: by Saarah (new)

Saarah | 532 comments Mod

We should do something from a favorite book we all have read. Like in the hunger games with the mockingjay symbol.
