COVER OR BLURB?

I love a pretty cover, but, honestly, the title pulls me in faster than the image on the front, which prompts me to read the blurb for the book. So as long as the title is catchy or attention-grabbing enough, I'll want to know what the book is about.
At first glance a cover will get me interested - and I do dismiss a book based on a cover, if it looks really cheap and unprofessional. The pretty ones or those with an unusual title catch my eye, but I decide on the blurb whether I want to read it or not.
Blurb. If I took notice of some of the covers, I would never read some of the books and that would mean missing out on some great books.
I like a beautiful cover, they look so nice on a bookshelf or on a table, but the blurb is what makes me purchase a book, it's what's on the pages that makes a book not the picture on the cover.
These responses are really thought provoking. So, what I'm getting is, it's not so much the picture, because as was mentioned above, a reader could miss out on a lot of great stories "if a book was judged by its cover" (I couldn't help that:)...A title could draw you in, but it's mostly, the BLURB!

So now it's more about the blurb. Also agree about a good title.

I'd like to know that when selecting a book to read, how important is the cover compared to the blurb? If the cover wasn't up to your liking, would you still read the blurb?
Thanks!
