Team Spreadsheet
- Once all columns of a goal have been filled out a new goal will appear within 5 minutes.
- Do not change existing pages. You may add a new page to your spreadsheet if you want to track additional information.
- Mark books as used in your books list once they are used for a goal.
- Only books read during the current round may be applied towards goals, once the round has ended those books may no longer be used for a goal.
- Once you merge teams, you may use your books for your partner teams goals. List them in your books list and on their goals sheet. Mark them as used.
- If you end up with more than 3 open goals, contact a moderator for help.
Hi guys. oh i'm first to check in. My shelf name is gladiator games 2015. This sounds like fun.https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...
Hi all, nice to meet you! I can't wait to get started - it's my first team challenge here, yea! My shelf is glad-games. :D
The master spreadsheet and team spreadsheet has been added to the beginning of your team thread.
Captains and co-captains should message the moderator account with their team name and google doc e-mail to be added to the approved editors of the team spreadsheet.

Helloooo people!Looking forward to this. First time ever.
Nice to meet everyone too.
My shelf is called nbrc gladiator games challenge.
And I'm from Australia :P
I've seen everyone do this on other teams...https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...
if we need it?
my shelf btw
Ashley wrote: "Checking in as well :) Where are we all from?"I'm am American living in Japan. It's lovely to see that we have an Australian - someone else on my side of the world, yea! :D
Goals, we have them! Here's the first three, from the team spreadsheet:Read a book whose author (first or last) starts with L
Read a book with a woman on the cover
Read a book with a pink cover
Round 1 only starts tomorrow, we're still deciding on "hour zero" Each round is 2 weeks, yes, we have plenty of time.
@Kazen Awesome! It's cool how everyone's from all different places. I didn't know (previously) that goodreads spread so far. Though it does produce time differences... :/

Australian CST haha :D Easy for me then
I'm checking in. Where am I from? Well, right now, I am living in the UK. But by the end of the competition I will be living in Australia. I am Australian and have been living here for 20 years but we're moving back to Adelaide on the 5th October permanently. So I will have quite a bit going on in the background - but I promise you it won't stop me reading (which is what I do to keep sane).Oh, I also have two kids - 3.5 years and 1 year, and I am also getting married on the 12th September, so just a few things keeping me busy...
It's lovely to meet you all! MB, where in Oz are you? Kazen, how long have you been in Japan?
Nice to meet you, NancyHelen! Congrats on your wedding - you must be so busy right now!I've been in Japan for over six years now - my husband is Japanese and I'm a Japanese<->English medical interpreter. :)
Hi all! I'm in the US, Michigan to be specific. I'll post my shelf link once I'm home and off tablet. Haven't figured out how to do that yet.
And we're off! I've started with
. It's my first true steampunk so I'm excited to see how the world comes together.
The way time zones landed I was able to finish a book, yea!Read:
The Clockwork Dagger by Beth Cato - finished August 2, 2015
368 pages
Goal: Woman on cover
If there's any info I'm missing let me know!
I have now finished
.I would update the spreadsheet, but I don't think I have the ability to edit as a co-captain? Let me go and see what I can find out...
It's great to see that all you guys have already read some books! :DI have a couple of questions, can anyone explain to me the master spreadsheet? Do we need to complete all three goals before new ones appear or if we complete one another replaces it? Books that we have read, they all count to the number of points, right? Can 1 book cover two goals, etc.? My book has a couple of different editions. Am I allowed to use one of the editions as part of a goal, as in one cover is relevant to the goals but the other isn't, as an example? Can I still count that book?
Sorry for the overload of questions. :/
MB - I can answer some of your questions, to the best of my knowledge. :)The master spreadsheet pulls together the team points from all the team spreadsheets and will be used to see who wins the battles at the end of each round. Until then it gives you an idea of how we're doing against the other teams.
As soon as a goal is completed and entered in the spreadsheet a new one will appear.
All books count towards attack points. Those put towards goals count towards defense points.
One book, one goal. Once it is used it cannot be moved to a different goal. Not sure about the editions - I think I saw a similar question elsewhere, though.
Not complete, but I hope that helps!
Sorry for the late check in. At the lake with spotty coverage. We're heading home later today so I can be more on top of things. BTW : home is Michigan, USA. IYesterday I read Mr. Darcy's Refuge: A Pride & Prejudice Variation. Which has a picture of a woman on the cover. Do I enter that on the spreadsheet or is that a captain duty?
lol, I have no idea, I was wondering that too... Kazen also has read a book with a woman on the cover
I've requested access to the spreadsheet, so as soon as I can I'll get it updated so we can get our new task. Or Ashley might drop in first and do it, but either way we'll get it sorted out soon!
NancyHelen wrote: "I've requested access to the spreadsheet, so as soon as I can I'll get it updated so we can get our new task. Or Ashley might drop in first and do it, but either way we'll get it sorted out soon!"Where did you ask? I can't find your PM in mod inbox or request in mail
I'm listening to Chained by Night by Larissa Ione. So that would count for "Read a book whose author (first or last) starts with L."So to get all the defense points available we need to complete one with a PINK cover. Correct???
Did you guys get your spreadsheet woes worked out? Otherwise I can help for the next few hours. Send me a pm with your google drive e-mail and I can add you if needed.
Sorry guys - I was at a conference and thought I could use the app...but of course it stopped working. I'm back home now - I have the spreadsheet access so I can update it :)
I finished Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin SloanI've entered the data in the spreadsheet for the five completed books so far. I put Kazen's book as the woman on the cover goal as she posted first.
Goals are now;
Read a book whose author (first or last) starts with L (Sherri is reading)
Read a book with a pink cover
Read a book that contains the word strawberry (Maritza, NancyHelen or Cathy did you book have this?)
Also don't forget to shelve the books that you've read :)
Ashley, so glad to have you back! Yea!By a freak accident/extreme luck my next read has the word strawberry in it:
"You blush like a bowl of ripe strawberries under a mound of whipped cream, and it makes my mouth water to think of tasting you." - Love and Other Scandals, p. 276
Yes it's a romance, why do you ask? ;) Hope to start it tonight.
