I'm about halfway through the book already, and even though I've never watched the show I'm really enjoying it. I love Veronica's personality and I'm totally going to start watching the show. I discovered that they have it all on Amazon prime instant video.

I started and watched the first season back in January and I'm finishing the last few seasons before I start the book. You'll love it - Veronica is now one of my favorite TV characters.
I am so happy this book won. I am a huge marshmallow and read this book the day it came out. I will be rereading this month and look forward to the discussion.
So cool this is the August book! I just finished binge-watching all seasons of the TV-show and the movie and loved it. Glad there are more stories about Veronica Mars to read before I dive into the sometimes murky waters of fanfiction :-)! So, the book is in my back and I'm going to start reading it today over lunch break!

I'm flying through the book and all I can think about it how much better it would be if I had watched the show first haha.
I just finished the second book for the July Challenge.I am so excited for all of you to read this book. If you have gotten it yet, I recommend the audiobook. Kristen Bell narrates and it's like watching the show.
I also recommend watching the show, you can totally binge watch it. It's only 3 seasons. I watched it in college and I remember being so sad when it was cancelled.
Enjoy the snarky, sarcastic, amazing-ness that is Veronica! Go LoVe!
I just finished the book the other day and I really enjoyed it! I love a good mystery and the authors did a great job of hiding things until the end. That being said, having not watched the show first I definitely felt like I was missing some things, not so much that I couldn't follow the story, but I felt that if I had watched the show first some of the relationships would have been more meaningful to me.Thankfully, I'm almost done watching Friends and then I plan on moving on to Veronica Mars! I'll be waiting to read the next book until I'm done with the show and movie. :)

Ten years after graduating from high school in Neptune, California, Veronica Mars is back in the land of sun, sand, crime, and corruption. She's traded in her law degree for her old private investigating license, struggling to keep Mars Investigations afloat on the scant cash earned by catching cheating spouses until she can score her first big case.
Now it's spring break, and college students descend on Neptune, transforming the beaches and boardwalks into a frenzied, week-long rave. When a girl disappears from a party, Veronica is called in to investigate. But this is not a simple missing person's case. The house the girl vanished from belongs to a man with serious criminal ties, and soon Veronica is plunged into a dangerous underworld of drugs and organized crime. And when a major break in the investigation has a shocking connection to Veronica's past, the case hits closer to home than she ever imagined.
As always, after you're done reading (or while you're reading), post your thoughts, questions and general musings on the book below. Also, words of advice: while it's probably not REQUIRED that you watch the TV show and movie beforehand, it would probably help to feel more of an attachment to the story, especially since the book is set after both of those. You can even discuss details about the TV show/film on here too, as long as you post spoiler alerts!
