TSH R:10-Written in Pink

I'm Dyllan and I'm from Brazil, so I may not be on at the same time as the rest of you, but I'll give my best!
Looking forward to play with all you guys.
It's been a while since I've been a captain, so if no one else wants it, I'll take it.
About names how about:
*Pink Panthers
*Tickled Pink
*Pink Pixies
*Pink Ink
*Written in Pink.

Game Spreadsheet (there is also a link in post 2 for this)

The first item will be called tomorrow and I think it would be best if we coordinated weekly with our items so we all try to claim same items each week. What do you think?

And Gea, you can totally take the Cap post. A big project just came up for me, and I won't have as much time as before.

We have a little over 20 minutes 'till first words are called.

Based on this first week it's best that you read what you wish and claim what you wish because this is supposed to be a fun challenge not one that is anything but. I put that suggestion out and no one responded with yes or no and from what I see there is no interest in that way of playing :)
I have no intention of forcing something that's not there so like I said pick what you wish for your items and if you have any similar items as the players who posted before you claim those so we don't have too many items open.

Champagne, bathtub, juice and bottle. I'll post my review and the word from group c by tomorrow

Book: Road of No Return
Author: K.A. Merikan
Date read: 08/10/2015
Rating: 2.5 meh Stars
Review: This was my first read from K.A. Merikan and I feel a bit disappointed. I'm not a fan of bikers book, but for some reason I felt drawn to this series. I could't connect with the characters. Zak was a bit weak concerning Stitch, and Stitch was at 80% part of the story, a explosion waiting to happen. Shit went downhill around 65% of this and the only thing I could think was: Just finish it already. Overall, not a bad book, but just not good enough for me.
WORDS FOUND:
G-A - ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE : Captain emptied the small bottle of whiskey into his glass and tapped it with his thick fingers.
LOC: 25
G-B - AUTOMOBILE: A black Harley worthy of one of the Riders of the Apocalypse.
LOC: 59
G-C - PUPPY: It was like when Captain once tortured a puppy, just to see how long it would take for it to die.
LOC: 538
G-D - JUICE: ...or the way he liked his coffee with fresh lemon juice instead of milk or sugar.
LOC: 173
G-BONUS - BOTTLE: The red bearded guy laughed and grabbed a bottle of ketchup off the counter and pressed a steady stream over Stitch’s head and face.
LOC: 261

Playing by the Greek's Rules by Sarah Morgan
It was a opposites attract romance with a funny first meeting between the main characters.I enjoyed reading the banter between them.
Group A : Alcoholic Beverages
‘I think we should drink to that.’ He raised a hand and moments later champagne appeared on the table.
Group B : Bathtub
With a last wistful look at the room, Lily tucked her phone carefully into her bag and strolled into the bathroom. A large tub was positioned next to a wall of glass, offering the owner an uninterrupted view of the ocean
Group C : Puppy
No one wanted a kid who got sick. I was about as welcome as a stray puppy with fleas.'
Group D : Juice
Nik raised his eyebrows. ‘Cow juice?’ ‘One of my friends used to call it that because whenever she said “milk” her child used to go demented.’
Bonus : Bottle
LILY PULLED HER HAT down to shade her eyes from the burn of the hot Greek sun and took a large gulp from her water bottle.

Book: Flames of Desire by Leah Brooke
Read: 12-Aug-2015
Rating: ★★★★
Review:
Flames of Desire is 10th book in a series and after so many books and 7 years I'm happy to say I still like the series as much as I did in 2007. In the book we meet Courtney Sheldon, a daughter of the man who was kicked out of town years ago and Courtney doesn't have many good memories of Desire. Her aunt's will ensures she has to live in Desire for a year in order to inherit the house and there she meets Law and Zach who wish to buy her property. The house is not suitable for living and they step in to help and to get Courtney start a relationship with them. From there on it's a familiar story and like with the rest of the series the ending and solving a problem comes very quickly.
Items claimed:
Alcoholic Beverage - Zach came through the front door with a beer in each hand. (page 13)
Bathtub - Law lowered himself to the floor beside the massive bathtub. (page 150)
Currency - She’d held out, not accepting any offers for years, and had finally worked them up to a million dollars (page 179)
Juice - He opened the refrigerator to place the milk, juice, and butter he’d bought inside (page 119)
Bottle - she glanced at Thomas, who came out of the kitchen sipping a bottle of water. (page 156)

Book: Overruled
Author: Emma Chase
Date read: 08/15/2015
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Review: This book was extremely funny. It's hard for me to like stories with a 1st person POV. Emma Chase though, can make it happen. The story is mainly with a male perspective, and it's enlightning (ha) to know what the heroes are thinking, even if they are sometimes just stupid. Overruled was a great start for a new series. Can't wait for the next two!
WORDS FOUND:
G-A - WINE GLASS: She pours me a bourbon and a glass of wine for herself.
LOC: 425

LOC: 205
G-C - BAKED GOOD: What I’m saying is: any asshole can cut a fucking cake.
LOC: 33
G-D - BLINDFOLD: But I’m already looking. Blindfold, ball gag, riding crop that’s definitely not meant for a horse
LOC: 236
G-BONUS - SOLDIER: Afterward, when we were sweaty and disheveled as soldiers after battle, we talked.
LOC: 76

EDIT: Jennifer okayed wine glass, so my post is good to go! :D

It was a fun book with the usual humor and chemistry of Jill Shalvis. The heroine was not a likeable character. But it was an enjoyable read to see her find love.
Group A : Doctor / Nurse
Wyatt’s fiancée was wearing a white doctor’s coat and a stethoscope with a tiny stuffed kangaroo on it
Group B : Automobile
He parked his truck on the street and crossed the yard to where she sat in the grass
Group C : Baked good
Not brownies, but a banana nut granola muffin
Group D : Blindfold
Every round consisted of someone being blindfolded, to be led around by the other’s voice alone.
Bonus : Soldier
So he’d gone with what he knew and had treated AJ like one of his good little soldiers.

Book: The Darkest Kiss by Gena Showalter
Read: 19-Aug-2015
Rating: ★★★
Review:
This was a second book in a series and I didn't like it nearly as much as I liked the first one. The Darkest Kiss dragged way too much and I just didn't like Lucien. The next book doesn't sound very interesting at all so it will probably be a while before I continue with the series.
Items claimed:
Doctor - There had been a parade of doctors in the room, but he was past the point of caring who came and went. (page 243)
Automobile - Now Reyes stood on a crowded street, cars honking behind him, people milling along the sidewalk beside him. (page 246)
Baked Goods - he sniffed, realizing it was chicken pot pie, freshly baked bread and steaming vegetables. (page 128)
Movies - surrounded by towering palms, where she vegged out and watched movies. (page 54)
Soldier - It will save time and he’ll be a good soldier to have with us if a fight breaks out with you-know-who. (page 216)

Review:This collection of short stories is about mirrors and how we perceive them. Sometimes the mirrors are just reflections in a mirror. Other times the mirrors are reflections in rivers and someone else's perception of us. I found the whole thing fascinating and compelling.
Items Claimed
Group A~Treasure:Contemplating how to best use her treasures. Page 258
Group B~Scar:The scar will fade. Page 91

Book: The Taming of the Billionaire by Jessica Clare
Read: 23-Aug-2015
Rating: ★★★★
Review:
This was a second book in a series that's a spin-off where the couples from the original series are getting married and their bridesmaids get their own HEA. This was a rather entertaining and quick read and it showed at least two potential couples for next books.
Items claimed:
Treasure - she picked a title that had an interesting sounding title — Tomb Treasures of Arkandiz. (page 89)
Brown - Kat shook her head, her brown ponytail bobbing. (page 100)
Puppy - You weren’t saying that when you were whimpering like a puppy last weekend. (page 154)
Blanket - Magnus sneezed into a tissue and wrapped his blanket tighter around his body. (page 179)
Purple - Gretchen strolled past, all purple and tentacles, talking with another bridesmaid. (page 100)

It was a heart breaking story between two lost souls one who is physically deteriorating and another who is emotionally draining.it was a satisfied read to get their HEA.I'm enjoying this series
Group A : Treasure
She preferred to hang on to this memory, to treasure the next few minutes like a pretty seashell in her pocket, one she could take out
Group B : Brown
“I made coffee,” Callie announced while they sat down. “And that brown-sugar cinnamon cake I served at Ted’s birthday.”
Group C : Currency
She’d spent two hundred and eighty dollars on his motorcycle.
Group D : Movie
At that point, what one movie star or another was or wasn’t doing seemed to have no relevance to his life
Bonus : Purple
Dawn was turning the night sky a deep shade of purple

Book: Dex in Blue
Author: Amy Lane
Date read: 28/10/2015
Rating: 4 Stars
Review: Dex in Blue has been in my To Read list for a real long time, and I always postponed it for some other book. This time I picked this one and don't regret. David's whole life was changed during an accident. That day kind of made the rules of how he would proceed without his best friend and also the man he loved.
His friendship with Kane is really nice to watch. They do complement each other. It's not always easy with all the whole porn starn businness, coming out of the closet and more. It was a little difficult at the beginning since there were a lot of characters and I kept switching names. Overall, real nice book. I'm for sure reading more of Amy Lane's stories.
WORDS FOUND:
G-A - TREASURE: God, Kane was starting to treasure that openmouthed ear-to-ear smile more and more.
LOC: 414
G-B - MIDNIGHT: Kane himself was on the couch watching an after-midnight episode of Law & Order,
LOC: 247
G-C - CEILING: Kane was bouncing from enclosure to enclosure, checking on the newly rebuilt floor-to-ceiling heated iguana and snake cages that Dex had installed on the brand-new porch attached to the guest room.
LOC: 476
G-D - MOVIE: “You’re nasty! You and my brother and those movies—”
LOC: 582
G-BONUS - PURPLE: Dex said now, pulling him away from his spiffy new warm coat and the purple Kings stocking cap he’d put over his ears.
LOC: 261
